I don't even host a server and I'm 100+10000000% in agreement here. I would like to see some actual reasonable responses and actions on this major issue. If I stood up at system for work that was as unreliable in core features as this build I would expect to be fired and blacklisted. This is not the server providers fault, it's not the server owner and it's not the players. This is a core system, if not THE core system, of the game and it doesn't work. The entire loop is now broken. That influx of 30,000 unique players during the free-weekend are likely operating under false pretenses. The game runs great on some servers, and like pants on others. That's fine. Persistence being broken would take time for new players to actually notice, and in fact they might never notice depending on their style of play. But the big things right now are cars (still kinda iffy) and base-building (in no way worth the effort EVEN IF persistence worked. 3 hours to build, 15 minutes to dismantle). This is supposed to be a feature complete and stable build. We've mostly gotten over the feature complete part. But this is not stable. It's fun in spurts, but that's not acceptable for a full price retail released game. -
When deadlines need to be met and people are working long hours with little sleep, things happen. Obviously this isn't good, and hopefully will be fixed up before the free weekend is over as this is not the way to win over new players. Not defending anyone or anything, it is what it is and I'm 100% positive the dev team is going to work frantically to figure that issue out. a 100 FPS drop from yesterday was obviously unintended

respawn option while unconsciousness

My only issue there is the times I've sat "unconcious" for 15 minutes. FIFTEEN MINUTES! Then I died. Another instance had my uncon for, I'm assuming, eternity because I was actually dead, friend made it to my body and confirmed this while I was still staring at "you and unconcious" If we can work out a reasonable timeframe I'm all for it but anything over 5 minutes realtime is just going to have me ALT+F4 9 times out of 10 -
I managed to keep a character going on EXP for several hours, made it to NWAF and started heading to see the new Zele and kill traded in a police station. Performance is actually really great, I found it more stable than .61 in most instances. Until I got into CQB, the desync was very noticeable, guy the dropped dead around 5+ seconds after I died, and going into doorways is a death sentence right now. Other than that, this update is gorgeous, can't wait to get on later and hopefully see the new Zele
