Oh I'm sorry. Where did I say anything about you saying you suck? You inferred that I made an assumption, which is a bit funny. Although I do admit I used the wrong choice of words, and I meant to say "Deal with it". But anyhow, let's get back to the topic at hand. Bandits/Hostile players shouldn't be punished. Why? This is a sandbox game. They have a right to play however they want, much like you have a right to do so yourself. You say bandits should have "Consequences". Well let's look at the opposite view of this. It's like bandits saying "Survivors shouldn't be allowed to use guns, because they could simply kill every zombie in the game with melee anyways. Being a survivor should have consequences", do you see how ridiculous that sounds? Obviously that's a bit extreme compared to whatever you would propose to bandits, but an exaggerated point to help get the point across. They have no right to complain about you, and vice versa. How about we let people have their own individual playstyle on a sandbox game, and not be punished for it? And before someone accuses me of being a bandit because I defend them, my character's roughly half a day old with only zombie kills under his belt, I just feel people should have fun however they want, even if it is by being a dick.

How about instead of asking the game to cater to you personally, you get better at the game? Bandits kill you. It happens to everyone else in the game. No one else complains about it though because we purposely came to this game for that kind of intensity. If you didn't, and you're not able to adapt to the thought that not everyone in the game should be nice, this probably isn't the game for you.

If I've been venturing with someone for an hour or more and haven't been shot in the back, I generally ask their Steam ID or invite them to Ventrilo. It's nice to mass Day Z friends. =P

A guy stepped on me. I didn't kill him.

Oh God. Off topic, but I love your Hellsing-referenced avatar, Legacy. -
Everyone has a different way of viewing their character. People like the OP view the game as them controlling a model that they can shape any way they want (So eye-candy would be nice), and others view the character as an extension of themselves and try to have them emulate themselves to a large extent, and then there's also everyone in between. So I can understand why people would pick either gender regardless of their own.

Rocket doesnt want the game to purely be pvp' date=' as it is now, shoot on site. I just mistakenly thought bandit skins deterred that. [/quote'] It isn't purely shoot on site. I think only about a sixth of all people I met after the update where we no longer spawn with weapons shot me on sight, and those times where when I had weapons on me. A vast majority of people I encounter I say "Friendly?" too, they respond with "Yes." and we journey around together for a bit untill one of us dies, or has to leave. Hell, I've had multiple groups of 6+ people during the past few days, just because I talk to them through my mic over Direct Communication, and those instances were the most fun I've had with Day Z so far. A truly informative suggestion is based on the feelings of the community or at the least a decent sized percentage of it, not just ones personal experience (I.E. you). Bandit skins are completely unnecessary and just take away some of the Realism of this SIMULATOR. Some people will kill you for your gear, some people will kill you out of fear, some people will kill you for fun, and that's what the excitement of Day Z is built on, so get used to it. -
With the patch not too long ago that made us no longer spawn with a Makarov, I'm honestly enjoying the game much more now. Before the patch all I ever did was wait for a select few of my friends to log on and we would venture together and shoot anybody on sight because the risk of us being betrayed and losing our stuff, or them being hostile (For which they probably had the exact same previous reason). Now that we start out with nothing, I've met multiple other people that had just respawned and we've grouped up, helped each other and other people we've come across that didn't open fire on any of us, and have a lot more friends on steam that I can play with. I know this kind of thread has been made a million times, but how do you feel?

I recently found a Ghillie Suit, which is awesome by the way, but I'm curious what will happen to it when I die. I assume that whoever stumbles across my body can pick it up off me, right?
