Did you fix the rotor? With one of those HUMONGOUS rotor assembly things? With the engine fixed it should take off, not sure maybe it was bugged. Did you try going back to it after a server restart? -

Let me guess, you tried to repair a "Crashed Helicopter" the grey one with bent rotorblades. You can't repair or fly those, they are loot spawners. You are looking for green Heuys that don't look all f*cked up. -

Unfortunatly the server sometimes likes to eat helicopters. Sometimes they appear after a server restart. Sometimes they appear where you took off, sometimes they appear where you last landed. Sooner or later you are going to loose track of it. Its a shame because of the time investment needed to get it up and running :(

Get a team, co-ordinate over Teamspeak, Ventrillo or Mumble. That is the only way to survive for extended periods of time. Even then (like last night for my team) it can all fall apart in an instant. Pick yourself up and start again or leave. -

We lost our Heli after the server crashed. It never returned back to the start point no matter how many times the server restarted. Then some random noob found it sitting in a field we landed in before the crash. Pro tip: If you loose your heli check everywhere it landed before the crash! -

I assume like with the previous patch, there was a data corruption causing everyone to lose their positioning data. It's an alpha. Deal.

Why do this? If you farm loot correctly it respawns within minutes usually. No need to server hop.

Brightness up, gamma up, HDR full and shadows off. That allows you to see reasonably in all but the darkest nights. It's a nessisary evil really, only fools play in broad daylight :P

If you can only ride in the gunner seat, what you have found is a "crashed" helicopter. These are not real vehicles and cannot be repaired. You need to find a green helicopter that looks like it is intact.
