Appreciate it! :D I'll go ahead and go through the app/process, as most places that are worth it have these! You guys look like a fun group ^_^

Thanks, Espa! We look forward to receiving your app!

  2. Hello, Sumrak, and thank you for taking the time to talk to us about the future of the DayZ map and answer a few of our questions.

    (Great questions so far, everyone.)

Are there any plans to add a moving river to Chernarus, (perhaps one that survivors could put a canoe or inflatable raft on for a swift trip to the coast?) -- and are there any plans to add a single vast inland lake with an island -- and if not in South Zagoria, then perhaps in another province if one comes in an expansion?

Those are old, just seem to be more rare to find than some other clothing.. especially the striped shirts. I dont see many of those lately.

They're hidden in a drum on your server, along with all of the bear traps and trip wires. 1000 hours in, combing the map, and I've never found any.

congrats on being a universal donut :-)

"As long as folks don't string me up and put a muzzle on me like that feller from that Mad Max movie, we'll be alright," is something Morgan might respond with, had he not been stuck in Chernarus when it came out.

  5. Looking forward to all these wonderful things on the development board. Visual and audio fidelity overhaul just around the corner, then further on down bicycles, bears, vines and overgrowth (al la The Last of Us), base building, and areas requiring gas masks and haz mat suits. And that doesn't even scratch the surface.

  6. Barricading with non-destroyable objects is definitely a bad thing. DayZ is about loss, but I'm not sure that the answer is necessarily to be able to cut tents. The ability to climb fences, scale climbable objects, break and climb through windows, should fix any barricading issues and make for a more interesting survival game.

  7. Asmondian.... a most excellent illustration of a concept once again. Would be amazing to see implemented. Would definitely be excellent to see all of us wearing those when it is raining in Chernarus!

Maybe read some stuff the devs release on development, no? ;)

Nothing in the latest developments since vehicles were returned to Stable Branch specifically address vehicle desync being resolved, but rather vehicle despawning, vehicles stuck in geometry, and other issues that are not the primary pain point of vehicles at present. They explained why desync occurs, but nothing was posted about when we would see a fix for it, which was the primary point of my post - a desire to know how much of a priority a fix for vehicle desync is, can we expect it soon, and whether or not there are any large roadblocks holding this up. I am not criticizing development. I am curious as to what kind of priority this major problem has.

Vehicle desync at this moment is poorly because of server performance. It has nothing to do with the vehicles itself because last time I drove a vehicle on a low pop server it was acceptable. On a med to high pop server it's a whole other story. That's because server performance overall is bad, which is a known issue for them and they explained the cause in one of the status reports and are working on a solution.

I would like to see these problems fixed just as much as you but there is nothing for us to do then wait.

Even on a low population server, vehicle desynchronization is severe.
