Status of 0.62 on Experimental Branch
Storymaster replied to Baty Alquawen's topic in PC Experimental Updates
Thank you for keeping us in the loop. Really appreciate all the hard work from the devteam and keeping us informed as to delays and why. I know there's a lot of folks complaining on here, but they don't represent the majority. .62 is right around the corner. Can't wait for it to drop the way you guys intended for it to be experienced. -

The occassional rainbow after a rain would certainly add to the realism and immersion... and perhaps offer a faint glimmer of hope in the dreariness of the apocalypse.

Change the noise, when you have a gun on your back
Storymaster replied to NoK_Drayen's topic in Suggestions
I love how the character sounds when running with a longgun on the back. The sound suite is very immersive. -

This is from a live roleplay event on the Remnants DayZ Roleplay server on Saturday 4-29-17. Come join our survivor sandbox at remnantsdayzrp.com

Thanks, Bob and Sqeezorz! I got int touch with great support from Fragnet. Server persistence file was somehow corrupted in coincidental coincidence with the Maintenance. We have restored a backup they had handy and all is well in Chernarus once more... well, as well as it can be in the Apocalypse no less!

Baty, are you sure there was no persistence wipe today? My server has had all *UPDATE* most persistence wiped. Only characters, vehicles, and drums with holes remain - as well as all of their respective inventories. This has been confirmed at sites by coast, mid map, and north. This is on a private shard hosted by Fragnet and no one has access to persistence wiping controls but me.

Thanks for the update, Baty!

For me, I like the fact that it makes it more realistic when folks are sprinting around then trying to take aim and shoot. In games like CoD and the other deathmatch lobbies, it's superhumanzoom high reality stuff, instead of giving a realistic take on trying to aim your weapon after you've been sprinting to the point of being out of breath. Try that in real life and see how fast you can shoot accurately when stopping from sprinting on a dime. This game is just a breath of fresh air from everything out there.

I actually love weapon sway in DayZ. It is one of the many gems that separates this wonderful survivor sandbox from all of the CoD deathmatch lobbies out there.

Why it is harder and harder to have interactions ?
Storymaster replied to Mantasisg's topic in General Discussion
Try a roleplay server on a private shard with a no KOS rule. Our server, Remnants DayZ RP, has lots of opportunity for player interactions that span the entire range of hero, survivor, and bandit. Just check out videos to see some of the various types of interactions you can have on our server like ours: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCEvIA-FsGIBBYs3a9Nxzv3w -
I was unaware of the double acceleration, but the acceleration feature is largely used to get vehicles unstuck because they are super sensitive to even the slightest inclines in geometry. Is it imperative to remove such a thing while vehicle-geometry issues continue to be a major issue? Just a thought...

Thanks for the update, Baty!
