That was from DayZ Underground with 60 players. It's a priv too. That server is kinda full nearly everytime. Just go to Kamensk mil base if youre spawned near novo, it never disappoints, atleast for me. I've looted alot even myskino on that server, NWA its always nearly empty, but for some reason Kamensk has atleast one gun with ammo for it everytime i visit + all the clothing. People are probably afraid of it, due to huge disadvantage being inside, very easy to get killed, it's like you're exposed to everyone on higher ground. Tisy/Kamensk Mil & Zelenogorsk probably is the best places to visit, rest is always pretty empty. Stary and Novo usually the action zones.

No, you need to know where to loot. Me after 20-30mins of fresh spawn, no one got killed. Even found alternative SKS and ammo for my m8. Yea the running is very boring as fresh spawn, but once you get some gear and if you dont get killed so quickly its pretty ok, you just wander and kill people or help them w/e or just try to survive. If you want instant action and shoot each other without the paranoia and adrenaline rushes i think this game is not for you ( The running and all that boring shit is what attachs you to your character and thats how the unique experience comes ). Make better choices and learn if you wanna survive for longer periods and enjoy. This game is not really about intense nonstop PvP, but it's a big part of the game. Highly recommend all of you to watch this video, interesting and also useful: EDIT: I'm Playing on DayZ Underground Private Server ( 60Slot/most of the time full )

Yes it's probably gonna be on version 1.1 or something even i doubt a bit, atleast very MANY people will request it. You can always benchmark it yourself, just run a same path from pure plain to big city for 5mins and its enough, then do same on different rig or ask a friend to do same run on same wather/time if you want to compare. Then calculate lowest/highest and average fps.

@Troll_Hunter, 2mins would be not enough imo, what about 10-20min, but as long as you login back the timer resets to 0sec ( just like instantly jumping to the AFK character ) besides if joining another server ? In that case server hoping would require way to much time, basically it would be gone + nobody would logout close to military bases. Just like hiding your car in DayZ Mod which stays there for full night/day etc you would need to hide yoursef and strategically pick a place where is the least chance of someone going there just like picking a place for your tents. In case of server crash everyone would be disconnected and there would be no timer. Basically: Logout = Character stays there for 20min at the pose/location you left. ( Sounds way too long, but actually it isn't, if you can camp a tents etc for nearly same amount of time, that would be no problem + lockpicks would become more useful e.g. locking yourself in a shed ). Client Side crash/connection issue = Same as logout - Rip character or if lucky nobody will find you or a friend would have to cover you till you get back. Server Crash/restart = Character goes offline without staying + no timer. Joining another server after logout = Wait 20min ( except after server crash/restart ) Joining same server = instant join @Volcanogod Good point, but what if they rush you ? Also i think after orienting where you spawned and going back these 2kms or so these guys would be gone long time ago + you would still risk your gear for being sniped etc. Troll Hunter's idea + some changes i said is best imo.

No offense, but are you stupid ? I've mentioned like 3 times that if a person tries to force logout by alt+f4, diconnecting his ethernet cable or w/e he will get teleported like few km's away. Damn guys give some respect and read in first place before commenting nosense. And no, i don't want to be safe from hoppers, im already safe, actually im missing some action, please read what i've wrote about the idea what would be changed that way, i've explained everything. If that idea would come true, then looting NWA and other sites would be ever harder, because they would be run by organized squads or even clans. You would be sniped by spotters before even entering the zone ( depends if friendly or unfriendly squad overtaken the location, friendly squads could let you in in exchange of food, other useful stuff, one by one ).. But that's not the point, the point is a challenge for the squad defending it and another squads taking it, or even for lone wolves trying to play one man army, just like a battle for the castle. Or even similiar situations like in the TWD series, where people runs a town or a Jail and other wants to take it. @ShallowTech Yes, server performance is important, but its way more complex job to fix all that, can even take years to perfect it, but compared to what im offering, my idea is as hard as pissing on your own fingers to make it come true. Not sure if you have experience with game engines or not including coding for it, but i do, so i know what i'm saying and i bet any DayZ dev would agree with that, server performance is never ending challenge.

No, actually its not hard to script that, you would be put in a random tree or a barn etc thats is nearest to your crash location ( devs should just create teleport spawn points around every "popular" base ) just outside of the forbidden logout zone. Its like 1-2hours of coding for average person. Also if the game engine has such things that would be even easier. Maybe its even possible only with custom server parameters. They should just mark zones and include a code to do not let logout there and if disconnected/client crashed teleport to the binded teleport spawns. " I'd rather they find other ways to punish server hoppers/ghosters." So something like you can't join another server for 24hours should work if trying to join same hive or a new character for each server should do it, but again you will be able to connect into a base, which does not allow players to "overtake and control" some bases.

This forum had issues, it showed me that an unexpected error occured, then i tried to post again.. and this happened. And how does this system determine where someone will show up if they find a way to logout/crash in one of these 'no logout zones' Totally random in any nearest direction ( in that case devs should make safe teleport spawns in a pines or random houses ) @Just Caused That's the point, there would be no way to logout in a military base, cause if they make the server think they've lost connection or crashed they would be teleported into a nearest random place where the logout function is available. If devs would make that i bet many people would dislike it ( hopers/lone wolves ) and many would love it ( big squads ), so why not to make different types of servers like: 1): 1st person only + Anti-Hop 2) 1st person only + no logout restrictions 3) 1st/3rd person + Anti-Hop 4) 1st/3rd person + no logout restrictions The point is: imagine you can control the NWA or any other base with your squad and make sure no one enters it without any worries that some guy will login inside or server hop inside, basically you would get massive amount of people trying to breach in and you could ask for "payment" such as bullets/food/burlap sacks/netting to get in and take some loot etc etc while your teammates gets informed about the guy who entered and they would watch him who is "patroling" inside. In case your squad wants to logout in the base, there could be a "Flag" system at the center or the base ( lets say your squad taken myshkino/nwa etc and the area is clear from strangers, going to the flag lets you to disable the logout restriction ). Its fancy af i know, but something like that would be really cool and that would keep DayZ SA at its origin idea. ( I hate games such as H1Z1, they're unrealistic af in all apsects ) That would be more realistic in some way and in some not. Maybe even random people will become friendlier then, so they will build an army to take the base from your squad.. You get the idea right ? Also some people goes to loot the bases and goes out of them - they would not see any problem. The other ones goes in and starts hopping or stays there for KoS as end goal of the game.

Hey everyone, I will just copy paste what i've wrote in FB's DayZ group. Hopefully that makes sense :) Lucas: Know the feeling. You should think that with a fully popped server, hiding should be the top priority at places like NWA. But nahh, sometimes you just gotta go balls deep and yolo xD Me: I usually find YOLO is easier way to survive and get loot than camping and checking if there's someone, imagine you're checking the base for 20mins then decide to move in, and boom some server hopper squad logs in surrounding you or just a few guys from the day before logs in and spots you. Similiar situation happened to me, i was checking myshkino tents for like 15min, was dead empty, moved in and suddenly 3 guys were shooting at each other inside the tents base out of the blue. The Idea: That ruins the experience a bit, dayz devs should make some zones that wont let to logout in such places ( e.g. Message: Unable to Logout here. ). lets say only ~2km's outside of NWA/TISY etc, but in case you lose connection in the zone, then teleporting out of the zone few km's away should be good option imo even would benefit these who wants to run away from there asap if they're willing to risk the logout timeout limit+20secs being afk :D That would protect from server hopers while being inside also would bring some new tactic possibilieties for squads ( like friends playing as spotters checking who goes in, pottentialy that could make something like war between squads, trying to battle for specific location that would be extremely fun and a challenge for lone wolves, but for now the problem would be frequent server crashes etc that would keep teleporting players against their will.
