  1. Since the full camera lock does not work and is being removed, I think this idea should not die. It can be tweaked to get the best of both worlds where we want to be able to adjust our aim mid strike, but we do not want to allow people to constantly swing while running and turning 180 degrees. The current state with full range of motion results in melee battles consisting of two players orbiting each other, swinging wildly. This is unrealistic and makes PVP melee annoying and a bit disorienting with the rapid turning that is required to win fights. This could be changed by giving a window of something like +/- 30 degrees when performing a light melee attack and maybe +/-15 degrees with a heavy attack. Or allow characters to move with a larger range of motion but have the potential for them to stumble if you try to change your viewing direction too far during a heavy attack (beyond +/-45 degrees) Obviously the range of motion will have to be tested and tweaked until it feel realistic and not a complete burden for PvE and PvP with melee. Hopefully this idea gets additional focus and not just reverted to full range and left alone.
  2. Though this idea sounds repulsive at first glance, it is a great way to dictate pacing. Please allow this option for binding controls. And the more range of movement speed, the better. I would imagine controller support allows a pacing between run speeds that is not obtainable on pc right now with the "shift + w" route we have right now. But 5 mousewheel options would allow a range varying from a fast escape at a massive cost to stamina or a more sustainable, pursuit speed, a jogging speed, a fast walk, and a slow sneaky, quiet mode. would change up game play in a positive way.

Use mousewheel to toggle between run modes/add run modes

That is where I first saw/used the mechanic. Thought it would suck. but it doesn't. Increases interaction potential quite a bit.
