Anyone have hostage situations like this anymore?

I think, possibly, what DayZ standalone needs to incorporate is base building and safe zones specifically as a key element to the game. That way it can bring players together in a forced friendly environment. It will increase friendlier encounters. To be honest, there's a number of things yet to be released on the game which would drastically improve this issue.

I agree with you, The game definitely lacks teamwork. I'm hoping, when they release the dynamic zombies in the next patch it will make the game slightly more difficult from a PvE perspective. So in order to hit a military barracks you need a couple of players in order to fend off the zombies. I think KOS is fine between 2 or more full kitted survivors. But any scenario where there is an opportunity for a friendly encounter, that should happen!
  3. I just get KOS now, what about you guys? Is there a better server for encounters like this? Skip to about 1:30 for the hostage bit
