Now working :) I installed Age of Wonders 3 and during its install let it repair Microsoft Visual C++ - sorry can't remember which version of C++. Anyhow, later, after running DayZ SA, the hotbar was showing correctly and it is still working perfectly now.

I've been experimenting and perhaps I've got something set wrong. When my inventory is closed the '~' key does indeed toggle the hotbar. However, as soon as I open my inventory the hotbar vanishes, and on closing the inventory the hotbar reappears. Its as if the inventory causes the hotbar to close. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thank you for such a fast reply but no joy. I've just now tried reassigning a key in addition to '~' but it still no hotbar. I've also just tried using a Microsoft 600 wired keyboard in place of this generic USB but again no joy. I've done lots of searching using Google but haven't seen anyone else report this non-appearing hotbar problem

Hi All, My hotbar isn't showing at all during play. The hotbar with 4 slots only shows immediately after connecting to server and while my character is stationary. As soon as I press the TAB key to open the inventory then the hotbar vanishes and doesn't reappear. I thought it might just be invisible but I've tried dropping items onto where it should be but they just end up on the ground. I'm using Windows 7 x64 with a HD6870 graphics card. I've been playing a couple of weeks or so and ever since re-installing DayZ SA there has never been a hotbar. I used to play a year or so ago but back then never had any problems with the hotbar showing up. This is a clean install of Steam and DayZ as I had to replace the OS a few months ago. I've also tried verifying the cache via Steam but no luck with hotbar. Is this or bug or am I missing something obvious?
