what no third person? thats a horrible idea, how are you supposed to sneak properly without 3rd person when your camera shakes like that of an alcoholic cameraman? 3rd person is a must, persons have a feeling for their body (wheres my leg? wheres my arm?) without 3rd person that'd be gone for the player anyways, i agree on making the zombies just as fast as the player or a very small bit slower, right now they are DOUBLE your speed, you just cant get rid of them just because they're all at your ass the whole time

who in the world would log out at a f***ing roof? sry mate, but i always run into the woods before logging out, its just logic of course when you log in at a point where people tend to camp, or camp at that spot, people might spawn on you.... duh just think before you do something

i guess sometimes the server sends wrong data to the character master server, are they using correct TCP/IP transfers or UDP? lol -
well, apart from you dropping all ammo items from your belt when picking up a watch or compass, yeah thats a nifty feature <.< happened to me again today when placing a makarov into my backpack, thought secondary weapons would only take one slot -> vanished, duh

Passing out every time i log in

I also experience this, its the anti-logoffski effect Rocket added with a patch that when you are aggroed by a zombie, or in fight with another player, you pass out for 5 minutes when logging back in again however, since 1.7.1.5, i always get the 5minutes pass-out time, even when i have no aggro or player shooting at me or whatever, it even happens when the game glitches and your fps drop to zero and you get a dc, i know its annoying that people just logg off when in danger, but this is horrible -

Ok, so as it is right now: -Every clip takes one inventory space -Weapons can only switch through clips, not refill your actual clip -You cant use the same type of caliber for the weapons One thing really stands out there: you need 19x18mm rounds for the bizon, the makarov etc. but you cant use makarov magazines for the bizon, which is correct however, when finding a weapon, i guess it is from someone who died, left it while running, etc. Then, why is there no empty clip with the weapon? (there should be one, i will tell you why) An easier way to manage ammo would be to make only different kinds of calibres (ammunition size) and collect the bullets one bullet at a time then, you would have one empty or full clip with every weapon standart the clips dont disappear anymore when empty, so you can later refill them (this is how it actually works in real life, ya know) different ammo types have different stack sizes (8 for arrows, 24 for slugs and other shotgun ammo, 100 for 9mm, 200 for LMG ammo, 50 for STANAG and 7,62 ammo for example) the more clips you carry, the more "fast reloads" you can make, when you are out of ammo in clips, but still have ammo of that type, you need to refill the clip (for semi and full auto weapons) or you dont need a clip from the beginning (shotguns, crossbows, bolt action, enfield etc.) I know this would take a lot of recoding, but having two types of ammo for a dual-barrel shotung and a 8-shot shotgun is just too mindshaking (as the 2-shot 12 gauge seem to take 4 times the space of 8-shot 12 gauge) I hope some people agree with me on that one, would add much to realism and inventory management in my opinon -so long, folks!

well it sure wouldnt be easy to rewrite the inventory completely, but since the day Z team added new toolbelt slots items and things like the hatchet, i bet they could do this i am just so fed up of having to dedicate my whole backpack just for 10 shots of dual barrel shotgun rounds or a few shots of crossbow bolts also, some weapon ammo is so extremely rare, and not even that efficient (best example the bison, shoots a fuckton of 9mm but the mags are even more rare than the gun)

well, i love how silent it is, but the accuracy on more then 10 meters is just a sick joke, i can even aim better with a damn bow, and im anything but an expert on that fact is: if it would have 8 arrows per inventory slot, would have a proper iron sight or zeroing, then it may be usefull else the revolver is great, pretty silent and kills a zed in one shot

Scariest moment: I heard i just bought Arma II for day Z and that its gonna get moved to Arma III anyway, and my pc is 4 years old goddamnit but the axe murderer was pretty funny My scariest ingame moment was: I am on the way to Rog, the castle near Elektro or Cherno, first i go to the wooden stairway, and find nothing, then i look into the tower I am just harvesting a node with a makarov and additional mags, when suddenly 5 people join the server, and 3 of them spawn directly around me, starting to shoot at me also two guys came up the stairs i totally freaked out and threw a grenade to my feet the end. -

You know what i do when that happens to me? i am SPRINTING through the town, look for that bastard and try to die right in front of him, when he shoots, the zeds get aggro'ed, when he runs, zeds get attracted to him, when he waits, zombies will see him after munching on me What did we learn today? dont fuck with people at the coastline -
yeah, i had not enough place for it, and instead dropping thw weapon to the ground or not being able to move it, it just disappeared

I figured something in the last few days, some houses normally having spawn nodes had none at all, i even checked on different servers and there was nothing, though there once were spawn nodes (especially ones inside the houses with the seperate room with two windows) I had no idea why these nodes would always disappear and never be seen again Until today, where i visited skality island: I found all nodes at the small boat house in skality island being beneath the actual spawn locations, being invisible when being on the bay, above the water, but when swimming they would appear So, please check if the spawn nodes in general have the right coordinates, i'm sure theres plenty stuck underground

the problem really is to get the balance between "can't do stuff alone"/"its hard to get stuff alone, but possible"/"just sprint through the town and you will be fine" a mixture of different zombie types seems the easiest really Also @ Bloodfreak: there wont be always bandits in every single town or city, since there is a 50 player max on most servers, and with only slow zombies people would just ninja stuff like crazy, making it no difficulty to survive because of the zombies, but because of the players only, might as well get rid of all zeds then -

no kill feed yes, bu being able to see who killed a player whenstudying the bodie would be great

dito, you dont need to swim anywhere anyways, except you startled a horde at the beach, theres nothing on drakon, only a few spawns at the big island with houses, but you can drop your backpack before swimming there, and pick it up when you return

i strted playing last week, until now i found 2 ghillie suits, compass, watches to no end (was fixed i think) and a lot of weapons and ammo, everything basically, EXCEPT boxes of matches, or maps (alt tab ftw) or morphine injectors (getting a bone broken -> hit respawn atm)

i say keep it as it is now, maybe let us see who killed someone and if he was killed by a player at all to be cautious, but a marker for "this guy killed a player" and "this guy didnt kill a player" is ridiculous

i guess the dangerous infected style zombies are ok, just dont make them run faster than players sprinting, if we need to make big hordes of slow moving zombes, people will be able to just ninja a town and run out before the zombies can chase them, and servers will have to handle a massive amount of ai if zombies are to be much more so yes, zombies fast, but not faster as the players max speed, and they can actually keep the number of zombies there is now and still keep them being dangerous if you actually want to take something out of a town -

anyone ever played zombie panic source? they brought something up where you are initially faster than zombies, but get slower with more weight, and running too long will make you slower as well, this combined with a slower zombie speed and zombies able to run in houses would make the game much more fun to play imo -
Daylight (time) out of sync with other players

When being on a server, i recognized while playing with 5 other people, the players time is faster than the real server time speed, for example: I head out to a town with my buddies, its getting dark and we can barely see anything anymore I die in this town, respawn, and its as bright as when we started going to town For my buddies (TS3) it was allready Pitch Black though (great movie btw)
