Cant add to this sorry, the new visibility lets zombies aggro you when you stand up from 50m+, yes, but i think thats reasonable yesterday i played for 5+ hours and didnt aggro any zombie unwanted, only 1 or 2 appeared out of nowhere directly behind me remember, even if your noise is reduced when inside buildings, when running you still make a HELL lot of sound, which then aggroes zombies around the building also i never had a zombie hitting me while runing, do you have fps r connecton issues? a buddy of mine had the same problem because he was ported back every 2 secs about 2 meters and zombies could hit him

lets wait for the hotfixes, up until now, i've had better fps, which is awesome, and cows run away now!^^ zombies got harder, im okay with that, bandits tend to completely ignore them even with a dinner bell -
tell me if you intend to snipe elektro or cherno again please, then ill oneshot you with my enfield from 200 meters away in the woods and laugh my ass off taking your AS50 and M4 CCO SD ^^

It just means that your data didnt make it to the master server somehow, maybe the server you went on after ths stary sobor incident didnt have a Hive connection and thus shut down soon after happened to me too, and i found a M24 and then *boosh* gone

yeah, call yourself "Operator" when it makes you feel better, you are just a lousy ass bandit like we all are :P sometimes not kill on sight, sometimes i just want to get rid of the other survivor, depends on my mood/gear/area/trollness at that moment -
Max i've seen on a server were 300, and that was a 50 people server with about 5 people alone in cherno and generally in berenzino 950 zombies with 8 players seems extremely unlikely not to be a bug

zombies in the woods, yes, olympic speeds, please no, let them be just as fast as the player

since i tend to be involved in more far then close combat (the map is chernarus for f*cks sake) its the revolver, better iron sights, same power, better range, sounds awesome the m1911 is way less accurate and doesnt look that amazing, yet it ha one bullet more and a higher fire rate i like finding both of these weapons, though i prefer the revolver every time

So i thought of a list of stuff making the game too easy or too hard For better visibility, please make the arguments making the game harder with a + and the ones making the game easier with a - (this is not a suggestion thread, just a list to get the peoples thoughts) I'll start: -You can refill ammo by recombining magazines/relogging when more than half full -Zombies walk indoors +Zombies zig-zag +Trees kill you

Yep, this game needs more zombies roaming around unpredictable, in the woods etc. also some sort of stalking zombies would be great, The zombies from the game "Project Zomboid" follow you without you even noticing, often arriving half an hour after you left, they just start slowly walking into the direction they saw you the last time, it added really great to the atmosphere of the game, and made you never feel really safe players should never feel safe in dayZ, just my opinion

oh god please no.... this sounds terrible, i dont want dayZ to tirn into a f***ing second WoW with zombies... there are allready post apocalyptic games with rpg elements, please play those games but leave dayZ alone with that

NO N. O. the game is allready pretty easy against zombies once you get used to it, we dont need newly spawned players going "RAWRAWR SPAWNRAGE SOMEONE KILLED ME" with a makarov that actually can kill people with one mag work for your guns, and think twice about if you engage that player over there, or if you just sneak past them, so you dont have to spawn without a gun again and the obvious: learn to play

server hopping is not considered cheating, its considered griefing, also, dont camp in the most obvious spots or people will spawn on you without having the intention to keep crying, and learn to play -

wow, you really want to make dayz another arcade shooter? no thanks, pal also, you'd need a character location etc. for every map, that means the master servers memory needs will DOUBLE if you want that kind of gameplay, i'd suggest you ZombiePanic source i personally like dayz like it is right now, except for the server hopping and combat DCing -

Guys, this is alpha, it is meant to test how the game system works and what exploits need to be wiped out its the most early stage of a game, and people shouldn't be expecting to have fair gameplay or even balanced one, since this is beyond pure functionality and goes into balancing, which is most of the time made in beta or even after game release however, i totally agree that this needs primary attention right now: 1) Server hopping (also known as ghosting) People disconnect, when confronted with a camp thats surrounded with fences for example, and jus log in where they want to I know rocket has done much to make the game a persistent world, but with so many servers and the game type, it just doesnt fit well together 2)DC'ing in mids combat Annoying, yet not gamebreaking, maybe give people a 10 minute ban from the master game server when they log out in cities or near any building whatsoever, maybe even let people spawn nowhere except in forrests... i dont know, i have no solution to this All in all, at the moment, i really feel like server-side saved characters would be way better, you start new on every server on the beach... however this could be annoying with servers thatare always full, or clan servers with too many members etc. sry for doubleposting, but

i didnt see any shots connecting in that video, sorry, the guy with the big rifle shot the bodys in front of the guy, and i couldnt see blood when the other one fell down -
i agree to that, zombies wouldnt go any line besides the closest to their target, they are homing missiles of infectious rage, but i can guess that its pretty hard to let them run a straight line (there seem to be AI paths all over the map, and the zombies take these paths rather then just running straight to you)

just make them a little bit slower, really, they are so fast they run TWICE as fast as you (they stop as much as they run when behind you) just make them maybe 1.2 times as fast as the player, this would fix a LOT for me however, make more zeds spawning in balance for that, and let them run in buildings^^

Hi there guys, the title says it all, actually, i would like to see some zombies spawning randomly in the woods, not many, just so you meet one or two between long journeys right now the forrests are just too safe to set up camps and hide in, you feel completely safe in a large wood except for the very very small chance that a player meets you in them and since you now can lose zombies in the woods by just running around trees and breaking line of sight as often as possible, it would be not that of a big deal even without a gun I think it would make sense that some zombies wander off to the forrests, since there are some animals (rabbits) and the trees also make some sound however not many, just one or two every few kilometers

so you guys think its a bad idea? i see dozens of posts about safe zones or nerfing zombies or the log-off in mid of fighting, yet they post in the threads not about how often it was discussed

Well, that on threat is about several ideas, and the other one is just someone flaming about snipers, i just want some of the safety feeling in the game gone
