and this one gets the award "Not a f***ing clue how programming works entirely" in an alpha, you dont prioritize on fixing existing bugs, you want to find out how the game should be and what kind of stuff should be added when the game has all the stuff the developer wants to put in, then the bug fixing can occur, since when you go "new stuff -> bug fixing -> new stuff -> bug fixing" it will take forever to complete the game instead, put everything you wanna have in there, and then fix the bugs in one big swoop also, the people who work on DayZ probably dont get paid for it, and even if, it wont be much, so dont be that silly guy demanding stuff for free without any right to demand it

not one of those QQ i got killed threads again, its a PVP survival game, not hello kittie online there was a bandit and morality system once and it got removed because people were shown bandits without ever doing any bandit acts, turning you into a target for no reason man up and learn to play, if you get shot at without an idea why or how to fight back, you aren't playing the right way it's just like eve online, BE PARANOID be as paranoid as it was you waking up at the beach with the knowledge of people just shooting people for fun dont run into cherno or elektro without a gun or proper sneaking skills and be whining if you get kos i highly doubt that, if you were to wake up in a hostile world like that, you would say "oh hey lets derp right into the biggest city and hope i dont get shot or eaten"

yes, zombies are way too easy in the game for two raisins (mhh, raisins) 1) They cant hit you when you are running 2) They walk inside buildings so, the second point being an arma and not dayZ issue, the first should definitely be looked at zombies are fucking fast, as rocket said this is to let them be able to catch up even if they take detours because of the poor pathing scripts however, this makes them annoying as hell, not dangerous like they should be i say make the zombies just as fast as the player, but let them be able to hit the player while running (whenever in melee range for a hit, it could be programmed as if the zombies have an unlimited range for the next attack, but only for the player being aggroed, since zombies are client computed once aggroed, this should be possible i guess) please make zombies dangerous predators, not annoying fanboys

THIS guys, chemlights are visible 50m range max(for other players), invisible for zombies and with brightness and gamma set high you'll be able to see in a 10-20m radius (depending on the color, green and red are good) -

ghillie suits are one of the rarest and most wanted items in the game, yes, it does conceal you when laying in the grass to about 100%, but thats what it is MADE for and btw, no one will overheat in a f***ing ghillie in the middle of f***ing RUSSIA again, a really really really rare weapon, and since thermal vision is only in its scope with 3x zoom, you cant just run around like a derp spotting everything while running, hiding behind trees etc. still conceals you, and since the gun is so god damn rare people tend to go in groups thermal isnt OP, theres only ONE item in the game with thermal, and its hell as rare, its not even that much better than night vision, its just a counter for ghillies suits which you were whining about in the first section i dont have nvgs, most of the time i run around with gamma and brightness settings high and a chemlight in my hand, its just about as good as NV, you're not visible from more then 50m and you arent blinded by flares, which i can say, is a DOWNSIDE OF NVGS its not a game where guns need to be balanced, its a game where every gun is dangerous also, sniper rifles are made for killing people before they can counteract (from a great distance) so making the sniper rifles less powerfull would completely kill the reason for them to exist at all you just posted in the first thread that this is considered tactic and players should behave like that, now you're saying its OP, get your shit sorted out also, it helps playing on veteran servers with only 1st person view, less advantage for the campers -

harden the fuck up, play on servers you know of having a fun cmmunity to play with, dont just click random servers and expect for people to be nice its like in every other game, if you want to have a good game, search for people playing with you over TS3 or other programs just dont expect for everyone to play like its hello kittie online, god go and play warz with its safe zones if you want a boring game -

first off, dayZ team didnt only do stuff like making new models and animations, they programmed a master server reacting on players profiles, saving them etc., they rogrammed the zombie AI (which is still bugged, but what the hell do you know about programming?) and what the post things have to do with alpha? the OP cries about balancing issues, zombie behavior, fps issues and clunky movements, which are all things mostly adressed in a BETA, and you guys are just forgetting this is a non-profit mod ALPHA and the devs dont owe you anything, you guys bought arma2oa, not dayZ the game so get over it or leave the game, i couldnt care less if one of the over 700.000 players leave

yep, suggestion forum, and nobody ever reads stickies anyway i like your ideas, add more serious injuries that take time to heal plus your painkiller splint and cloth stuff woud make perfect sense (first fix the *kill yourself by proning* stuff) then add the mechanic of broken legs requiring a splint or something plus time to heal, and only be able to run with morphine

ok, then i'll just give you my text i start my game with, you just need to right click the steam arma2oa shortcut, select "properties" and then "startup parameters" then you just type in: -world=empty -nosplash -cpu_count=4 -maxthreads=7 also, you can adjust you arma2 config in your windows account folder (username\documents\arma2\arma2oa.cfg) to adjust the anti aliasing settings and other stuff if you want to read about it, startup paramters are here: http://community.bis...rtup_Parameters and how to install dayZ the proper way on steam is here: http://dayzwiki.com/..._.28Optional.29 -

for god sake set the video memory to default, very high measn either 512 MB or 1024, default detects it himself and if you want more fps, post process to very low, anti-aliasing to normal, and be sure to start with the paramter -cpucount=4 and -nosplash and -world=empty -

well, i say let the people who want a boring game get a boring game... less victims on official servers, but also more fun for real players -
well, i tend to play team fortress 2 alot myself, and that game is one of the fastest i know of (scout for example) i'm not the best, but normally on open servers i am top to third best on the server pointwise i played shooters for a very long time, and still, the dayZ zombies can change directions way too quickly imagine you are running full speed into one direction, theres no way in the world that without a wall or rubber shoes+metal floor you are going to immediately change your directions like the zeds do its ok for the speed of the player, but when zombies run about 50 miles an hour (which they really do, tested it actually) its just near impossible to aim at them when they are running towards you zig-zaging

guys, simple as that: 1)Play on decent servers with DC'ing resulting in a ban 2)record every robbery you do 3)Know the admins Choose your servers wisely, report douchebags and maybe they will learn from it -
IF this was an actual game, i'd not buy it if i have to pay for stuff in game, or monthly only one-time payment since this is not an mmo, no progression and perma death, and server capabilites are at about 100 players, i'd see no reason to give 15$ a month neither would i like to see people magically getting guns at spawn or similar because they pay money for ingame stuff, just makes no sense in the game since its an survival and dear god, dont port over to DayZ becoming an arma3 mod and THEN releasing DayZ as a standalone game, do one of these, so people dont pay double edit: also, if you'd make this a standalone game, shit gets serious, people would have real reason to flame when the game would still be as son-of-a-gun-bugged as now
