    sorry, but i have to repeat myself here again: 1st person is, how it is right now, not playable for some people because of the weird motion delay and low fps i get motion sick after about 5 minutes of 1st person only playing, if the devs rework how the 1st person camera behaves, it would be okay, but right now it just isn't even if you turn "head bob" all the way down, you still have camera movement to the left and right when sorinting or jogging one way to make DayZ a little bit fairer and meanwhile scarier would be to force 1st person view while prone, but forcing 1st person as standart is to much anyway, this has been discussed to death a hundred times, there is no mode which is vastly superior to the other

    yeah, the temperature indicators are sometimes bugged out, campfires don't typically fix it, only very warm clothing i had a case where i had the shakes (note: not sway) and a splint fixed it though, but that was a couple patches in the past...

  5. why would you even want to? without players there is no challenge whatsoever, or is there? if you have no internet connection, i think you will be far better off with minecraft, fallout 4 and XCOM 2

    no, i mean public servers that are passworded/autokick/whitelist, in effect servers with private access having the public hive connection every server is allowed to kick IF IT HAS A REASON, you aren't allowed to kick people from servers that are connected to the public hive like you want, they have to be hacking/exploiting/harrassing other players

    fps boost in cities + more usage of multi-core cpus, can't play the game there right now because of having 10 fps in cities

    personally i'd think a low amount of players killed and a lot of playtime is far more interesting it's easy to kill people, not killing them when meeting them is the hard part

    BEHOLD PEOPLE Ranwer the King of all Necromancers! Bow to him for he may spare your life if you do! We are in Alpha, for things to be tested, you will have to be able to actually find them a few times, so thats one reason why spawns at the time are so ridiculously high

    I think you will drown before you reach it, but maybe driving + swimming there would work? it's 16km out afaik might just as well fly there in Arma 2, it's the same island...

    There is such a thing as epoch describing exactly what you mean, how many other people allready pointed out I guess the ability to mod the game later will make this possible, but it sure is a long road ahead to even think about that...

    i think the basic problem there is that the art department, or whoever makes the gun models etc. for DayZ (i remember there being a company with a website showing off models) need to be kept fed, payed and busy, so just stopping to introduce guns and cars etc. won't speed up anything in the game development process

    wait, so you say zombies should not run away from people because starving animals are not, but then you say zombies should be deterred by fire because they are NOT starving animals? can you please decide on wether zombies are like starving animals or not? why should a thing that is NOT running away from loud, sudden light and noise run away from a fire? i get that not all animals automatically run away from humans, especially not apes, since some can eb extremely aggressive, but the first reaction of an animal to something unknown and disturbing should be in canon with what it does in other situations (for example spotting a fire) come to think of it: are zombies fearing ANYTHING whatsoever in the game, did they ever? the only thing zombies are defined by is not having fear of pain or not feeling pain, why should zombies attack humans in the first place if they are something to fear for them? why should they fear fire if they don't fear humans or pain in the first place? they certainly don't fear light or sounds, either

    If i was in a survival situation, killing baby cows, deer, whatever, would be no problem at all, i grew up thinking of these animals as food-still-living anyway dogs, cats, or humans on the other hand... maybe humans, but definitely not dogs, at least not if i can avoid killing them i think it would be pretty dangerous to meet a pack of wolves, but a pack of feral dogs? oh boy, you're in trouble, especially if these dogs grew up to be accustomed to firearms and have no fear whatsoever from humans, wolves at least aren't confronted with humans all the time, dogs are used to that and just as if not even more deadly and come to think of it, would be funny as heck to see a pack of feral dogs with one or two yorkshire-terriers or chihuahuas in the bunch, i would laugh my ass off if i see someone get chased by that nice post from the OP though, definitely would like to see hunting animals become more deep
  21. wow... come to think of it, imagine Taviana with all buildings enterable like in the Standalone... O.o Taviana was one of my favorite maps for DayZ with base building mods, though Epoch got really silly really fast (car with Minigun mount at the front, flying fortress etc.)

    so their animal instincts, coming from the Ape, would make them run away from very tall, clothed apes with loud guns basically i mean, i never shot in the general direction of an Ape, but i sure as hell wouldn't count on it looking at me, charging at me dead on and trying to eat me, especially not a fruitarian ape (which afaik humans evolved from)

    resources for fire are way to readily avaible in the game as it is, all you need is a rag and a stick, a matchbox is easy to find, viola! zombie-free zombies aren't posing a real threat as it is at the moment, making people carrying torches zombie-immune would be worse, and i would ask myself how the hell 99% of humanity would get killed by something afraid of a torch or campfire... also, DayZ does NOT have the "magical BS" zombie approach, it was said veery often that the DayZ zombies are just people with a brain disease if we argue that "there could be a little magic behind the zombies", why not go full throttle and give them red glowy eyes and make all zombies wear SS costumes? because thats kewl isn't it? i don't like adding stuff that destroys immersion even more just because it's cool
