they are still too easy, you can run away from the forever, and they tend to deaggro now randomly when running through a forrest they are WAY too easy, they pose no threat whatsoever if you have more than two braincells i dont even remember when i was killed by a zombie the last time... once aou can restore your blood with animal steaks, keep over 9k blood and they cant knock you out noobs QQing over a hardcore survival game being too hard... hillarious -
nvgs are pretty rare and usefull with not every gun they are required to see at night when its dark, giving you an advantage against players freshly spawned i personally dont see any problem with nvgs, but duping is extremely gamebreaking

if you pick up a weapon thats hacked, you are the same as the hacker in dayZ devs eyes, this has been discussed long before and often just dont pick up stuff thats not in the mod or you might have to live with getting banned -
hw would you know any other survivor? you are starting at the beach because you are stranded -> not from chernarus

So, what's the long term goal for vehicles?

the chopers coming will make it much worse now, the ones with the choppers will have all the vehicles sure, radar is no more, but with two people having L85 thermal to the left and right can see any vehicle MILES away, since they are glowing like a damn beacon even if they are off -
yeah, but if you go further, War Z will probably award note missions with something, like gold coins or XP or whatever, what could in DayZ the reward be? im thinking of (since they tend to be really rare) a forced bicycle spawn or similar, maybe anti biotics or other stuff in the game... however, this would only lead to people meta gaming again, farming the notes when they figure out the spawn circumstances and then doing the mission as fast as possible sure you can then kill time with it, but instead directly searching for stuff at higher travelled places, which forces you to go where other players are likely to appear, seems more in the way of a survival game imo

gotta see then how he goes about that however i find missions highly unlikely actually, i had some "missions" if you can call it that while playing on my main server with the TS guys (Get to xyz and give me a bloodbag/morphine/repair a car there) etc.

i dont think the crowbar or hachet should count in on this, i think the ops means guns, not weapons at all i vote the MP5 sure, you can kill something with it, but not better than with an AK or any shotgun, the sights are terrible, and good uck findng the ammo for that sucker

that makes him an exploiter, he didnt use any program or codes or hacks, so its not hacking.... he is abusing a bug, which is exploiting, and wont give you a global ban ( i guess)

if theres more then 10 L85s, its duped.... anyway, since tents tend to spawn pretty rare, i'd say everything above ten tents is duped, and i wont take duped stuff whatever it destroys the game, just like ammo refill after relog, just that ammo refill is not on purpose, but i constantly hear people "oh cool you found xyz? lets dupe it"

Maybe they should make the sniper rifls way rarer than normal M4s or M16s, but nerfing sniping would either 1)Make the sniper rifles pointless 2)Take way too much coding for bullet paths or 3)Remove the danger the airfields etc. actually pose at the moment However, making sniper rifles rarer would only work if the hell of an exploit called duping would finally get fixed, right now everyone i know runs around with a f***ing L85 with thermal vision...

thats way too hard and you really think it would stop DMR snipers with their "spray and pray" sniping? also, since 1000 meters is the max range visible in dayZ, .50 calibers would still be easy to aim with

well, dont go to places where snipers tend to be, or check sniper spots before using routes the sniper doesn't cover snipers are powerfull, but once they shoot you, they reveal their position and can be tracked down by teammates or yourself, if its a bad sniper (which tend to be an awfull lot in dayZ) if you get them unprepared and in close combat, they have one shot to get you, or they have a DMR and you're basically in danger the whole time basically, search places snipers tend to be at, or run and hope its a nooby sniper

vehicle "hoarding", what the hell is it?

the problem is that the camps are often way out, and some vehicles are really hard to track, like bicycles and motorcycles normally vehicles spawn near buildings or streets, but when someone moves them to somewhere no one ever travels through, how the hell would someone find them? oh sure, someone says "lets go and search every forrest in chernarus to find a car" you really think someone would spend 50+ hours searching the whole map? also, the persons hoarding the cars often aren't even on the server, if the people hoarding vehicles would actually DRIVE them, i'd have no problem with that since its risky to drive around in the car, making you easier to track, but placing the cars at god knows where and never using them is like living in chernarus outskirts on a watersource and animals and saying "im teh best gamer of all times! i survived 50 days without getting killed!" edit: speaking in terms of your example, spots A,B, and C are easy to find and in places players tend to go, but D is almost impossible to find if not intentionally searching for hidden camps -
