since in the game you always need to expose all or half of your body when peeking around corners, and in real life its enough to show a third of your head, i say 3rd person should stay or give us actually working mirrors to look around corners with seriously, having to run around a corner to see whats there? nobody in his right mind would do that

I became a bandit when someone i wanted to help shot at me, i gave him a bloodbag and a few seconds later he shoots with a makarov at me, breaking my legs when i made him a corpse with my M14, i decided to only trust people without weapons and take what i need from them, so i became a bandit if people see me from far away, i take them out if close up, i take cover and tell them to drop their guns and back off if they have no weapons, just avoid

I always try this, though if people are on open field and see me first, i have to shoot them, since everyone else seems to be outright nemesis with every other survivor

So, today i played some Taviana up until now (3 AM here) and in the last 5 hours i've been doing some stuff Our Taviana server has two Hueys and one boat, the boat is mine for about three days Now one helicopter spawns on the big left island at the Atomic powerplant, the other on the island with the castle i joined the game and people were flying about with the helicopter spawning at the powerplant, i logged out in the boat at the castle island, and headed to the castle to see the helicopter standing there, perfectly green, just no fuel in it I get into my boat and drive to the nearest city, get five jerrycans filled, and drive to the island all of the five jerrys in the heli, i make my way back to the boat, suddenly i hear the helicopter starting, and see it flying away About ten seconds after the helicopter flew out of my sight, i see a message that someone was kicked because of script restriction 36, which a friend told me means someone crashed a helicopter After a server restart about an hour later, i logg in on the island, not far away from my boat, when i hear the other heli flying to the island, hovering about 1 meter above the beach someone gets out, runs into the direction of my boat, i shoot him, heli takes off and flies away with me shooting him from the .50 MG thats mounted on the boat I then had a few fights with the heli, and manage to kill a gunner in one of the fights, also damaging the heli quite badly since after every fight they are away for about half an hour probably fixing their heli^^ With help from my friends, we get the boat fueld up and go to the castle island to see the helicopter respawned after the restart, fix it up, and start flying They then soon found the other helicopter of the SDA clan which fought with me and my boat (<3) on the prison island, fuel it up and hid both helicopters away along with the boat sorry for my poor writing skills, im just f'ing tired right now TL:DR: Guess there are at least 2 or 3 people stranded on the prison island in Taviana, have a good time swimming guys ;) And never shoot at my boat again, i love my boat <3

The admin spawned a boat, but left it on the island, later, since he had the heli, he brought me to the island and i got the boat dont know where he spawned it exactly, but the versions right now have many boats (only PBX though) near Ekatherinenburg

If there is a way to plug a scope on the enfield in the standalone, i wont have a second thougt about using it its crazy, it has almost the same precicsion and bullet drop like the M24, and it even does more damage for the lulz (10000 i think?) forgot the nerf, now its 6722...

DMR and AS50 should be removed completely in my opinion, they are far to powerfull, The M24 is without a doubt the sniper you can show your skill off the most with, everybody can fire ten as50 shots in three seconds and it will hit SOMETHING, and every hit equals death With the M24, you can hit someone in the torso, the might fall over, might run away, shooting in their legs is the best to do, especially if they are chased by zombies, getting headshots with it however is also quite easy because of the fast bullet travel time and the i think highest precision in the game of all rifles there are

You can park it on top of one of the not-enterable towers of devil's castle, most people dont even look there, and devils castle is a pretty dead spot if you find a spot thats high and unreachable, why not be able to land a chopper there? logging off is just sleeping really... if i had the chnce to land my chopper safe from zombies and other people on a building, i'd surely not land it in the middle of a forrest

Even if everything is green, you can still have damaged glass, without all the glass repaired, the huey wil leak for sure i guess it's intentionall, but i have no idea if it's right the huey wasn't really build for quality in its times, more for mass production, maybe those two glasses in front have some connection to the fuel? also, it makes the huey the hardest t repair vehicle, else it would be even easier to repair than a car (4 wheels, engine against one mainr rotor, a scrap metal and an engine)

they differ in some things, in the dayztaviana version you can't refuel directly at fuel stations, zombies are a bit faster and meaner, also more, and there aren't as many military grade lootspots in the dayzland version, you have barracks basically everywhere, as well as industrial tech 3 buildings, less zombies, but they are als slower, and you can refuel your car at fuel stations automatically without jerry cans i prefer playing the dayztaviana version, it's just more hardcore ;) edit: theres also custom skins in the dayztaviana version, whereas the dayzland version only has normal skins since i like playing a long-haired rocker on a old moto machine, i really prefer the dayztaviana version^^ note: might be i totally switched both versions

Point 1: Simply deleting NVGs will make playing at night impossible (unless the night has full moon and you play with gamma high) Running around with flares and flashlights is too big of a risk, people will just go to day servers and never play on night ones The devs came up with the idea of nvgs needing batteries, which imo is a good way, as long as the nvgs have a high consumption rate of batteries and batteries are prettie rare Point 2: Thermal vision is not needed, learn to see in arma, and learn to look at places popular for snipers The problem with both though is that they are far more powerfull than their real-life counterparts NVGs and thermal should have a maximum range of about 600-800 meters, at least the person-carried variants And dont even get me started onn the effect rain has on those, you wont be able to see shit through both when it starts raining even a little bit

yeah, celle is a great map, especially the woods are well made though i now found a Taviana server and it's far bigger and way more fun to play

Some yes, some no, we had a few people cornered in one of the big industrial halls with the two blue front doors, and the windows on the back are not penetrable, at least not by a M24

Yesterday, we were a team of 5 on our namalsk server, and we were camping Object A2, when two guys appeared One i killed directly, the other one i only found out he was there because he started shooting my offroad with a M14 and missed all his shots So after turning around, we killed each other mexican standoff way i'd have stopped there and said "ok, leave them be, they are more and can patch themselfes back up" but that one spawned like it seems and ran straight to A2 everytime getting almost killed instantly everytime, shooting right on sight so, to get rid of him, we moved to sebian base at the top of the montain, and guess what, he comes there, and starts to shoot everyone again there are just people i dont understand, not getting the idea of dayz, just deathmatching all over like its TF2, and most of the time those are 14-16 year olds one day playing on celle, there was a group of youngsters having the only heli on the map, constantly killing players at random, newspawns etc. i talked to them what they are doing, and they were seriously convinced they were doing "survival play" i'd say idiots are in every age in dayz, but the young ones are far more in numbers

the problem with hiding a chopper when other choppers are on the map is those god damn white spots on the screen side when in 500m radius or even 1km, choppers appear like a cow standing right next to you on your screen border good places to hide choppers i know are in the middle of the map or on top of devils castles inaccessable roofs, no idea if the mi7 fits there

theres always stuff in the patch notes that isn't fixed allthough it says it is guess they don't test the stuff properly or not at all for example, ammo refills itself after every relog though it says it is fixed in the patchnotes also, you can stil dupe stuff, though the patch note state its impossible

Was it on a private Hive or on an official server? I know for sure a private hive namalsk server where in every Helicopter when it spawns also spawns a golden revolver

Yeah, clouds always travel east, just move south east and you will get to the beach again I miss the days i never knew of that damn map marker, made the game harder but also way more fun anybody having a good visited yet good running server without map markers crosshair and nametags but with third person? ^^
