so you guys think gas stations will yield gasoline? how the hell are you guys planning on getting the gasoline out of the electrical-powered gas-pump? the 9-volt batterys? xD the only tanks you could get fuel from are the free-standing ones where you can just open a valve and let it flow into the tank or a jerry can edit: or you try salvaging wrecked cars to suck out their fueltank remains

near the military base at Vybor, there is a T-crossing in the road just north of the milbase, there are about 5-6 ashwood trees in one bunch, and a good place to make a fire you have cover to all sides and can chop down a tree so it covers almost the whole area with leafes the only thing i find lacking about crafting atm is that you can't craft arrows...

try pressing shift + numpad minus, then type in the word "flush" this also helps when extreme stuttering starts ;)

I thought Heli Crashes don't spawn right now in stable, making M4s practically fossiles from patches past... Makes me wonder where the hell people "find" them all, in the last days every M4 guy i killed, had an infinimag, literally every single one of them (4 guys in total)

the PU scope also likes to spawn in the house with the big room full of metal racks, guess scopes will be easy to come by in the next months... BTW, why can't you repair weapon attachments with a weapon cleaning kit? they are just useless right now, either you find a pristine weapon that never needs repairing, or the weapon gets instantly ruined when carrying it in the inventory while attacked and is not repairable at all...

loot tables are totally broken right now, some houses that had loot in the 0.43 patch dont have loot anymore, apartements have no loot whatsoever, though they used to have some, the majority of buildings does not have any loot, while other houses (always the same of course) have all the gear you want, like piano houses... i guess this will be done at some point, though right now the new renderer and zombie pathfinding is a priority to me, and i guess for the devs, too

that would be awesome, i just don't like all the bullet-hoses out there, and since the Mosin is not a good CQC gun, and the Blaze or Shotgun are far too precise and unforgiving for misses (or in case of shotgun, bugged), i can't get the gun of my choice right now... -

nonetheless, a lever-action rifle which uses the almost obsolete and way too common .357 ammo is awesome, as it also has similar damage to the mosin rounds, if i am correct (long has it been since i had the need to use my revolver) still, i can't wait until the shotguns are fixed and they add a remington 870 in, was one of my favorite urban guns in the mod, with pellets, of course people often times totally misjudged the range of the thing, which was about 40 meters with 1-2 shots to kill and almost a guaranteed hit ;) -

if you hear someone being panicked OR too calm, or tries to close distance to you while you are not looking, just shoot them i have been backstabbed so many times, playing friendly for a long time made me almost psychic to the point where 5 of 6 "freshspawns" i decided to shoot had a gun hidden in their trousers... you can read a lot of peoples intentions just by looking at movement, tone of voice, etc. only if you survive O.o -
look into your inventory, if it says "sick" in the upper corner, you really do have some weird illness, if it doesn't, it's the server trolling first time i fell for it was on a server stating "I feel piss dropping down my trousers"... when i finally got that the server was trolling around, i laughed my ass off xD

Plus the blaze can instantly kill people with two chest shots in a row, in terms of time to kill i guess this is the fastest there is but in terms of the longhorn, i will stick to my revolver thank you very much ;)

Since the latest patch, the damage from Mosin, SKS and AKM seem to have significantly been lowered, You used to be able to knock people out with one 7.62x51mm, or two 7.52x39mm rounds Lately however, i need at least three Mosin rounds to kill, and at least two to knock people out, SKS has gotten lower damage values as well, yesterday i hit someone with 5 SKS bullets in the chest and he still ran away, dieing from the sixth I really miss people getting knocked out before they instantly die, i used to rob them during that and have a chat before deciding wether to kill them or not, but now that option seems to have been lost

it will of course be more equally spread out when cars and tents as storage will be in the game, but 100 players per server is a must, especially since the map has gotten way bigger up north yep, this can really wait, the game like it is now does not in any way show how DayZ is played, no high-end goal at all atm, just people deathmatching, which is why everyone stick to berezino and surroundings...

the sound when people logged in was actually a bug, but the ONE bug that actually made sense gameplay-wise was removed... xD this is what keeps me from just camping in a house with a good view all day, which is what i really liked to do in the mod additionally, people seem to be way harder to knock out with any rifle, which makes this completely pointless for me anyway... i don't have particularly much fun playing dayz right now, the mod is way better atm, but i like to play it because of the clothing system and the option to dress yourself like a big idiot or badass just as you desire^^

are you sure it wasn't the lower neck? every time i shot someone in the head, even when they had a motorcycle helmet and they got shot with a .22 they always died

you also can't just bandage over the wound of an 7.62x51mm wound and be fine if it hit your liver, lung or stomach.... this is a whole other topic though yes, buff the bow please, especially the part with craftable arrows why have a craftable weapon that is useless without extremely rare to find ammo?

welll to simulate higher stopping power of a round (like the .45ACP, dont know if hydrashock or not) they could just adjust the shock values a weapon in dayz has three values afaik, bleed, shock and damage if shock +500 is higher than your health, you go unconcious so the simple thing to do would be to adjust weapon stats so that you go unconcious because of shock damage when at full health before you get killed through health and blood damage amiright? i am as far from an expert regarding this as is possible, never had a gun in my life (as long as you don't count an air-rifle lol) but don't people tend to go unconcious or incapacitated before their heart stops?

I think i really have to test ballistic damage values some day, if there are any volunteers PM me i bet there are a lot of people wanting to get shot by me because of my curiosity... xD edit: OR i let someone shoot me and see how it goes....

i think there is a hidden setting in your config file, called sceneComplexity or similar, which is affecting this you can set it higher and it makes buildings render at a higher LOD from further away -
If it is the clothing, it's effect is way to strong for ballistic protection i dont think that a tshirt and a raincoat can make you shake off a hit from a bullet, even if its only 9mm rounds, not to mention .45ACP or SKS/Mosin rounds i know its not all about realism, but the mosin just seems so useless when you can not knock out people with it consistently, and just head-shotting them is an instant kill which is not what i want...

well if you are thinking of a private server as a server where you can loot and then connect to the public hive and wreck people no. this will never be there (at least not legit) private hives though, where you have one character per server, and disconnected from the public hive, will come sometimes in the future, if its through mods or through the devs directly, the demand for them is pretty high

to be fair, no amount of crapiness could get me away from SVD and AKM if they are in the game, except for an M24 which is beast they just look so good xD though if there would be a VSS in the game at some point, screw everything ^^
