I am really liking the idea of replacing the coast with a broad river, but at least 50 meters wide, but i guess that will never happen what i am sure of is that there are allready enough citys and towns in the map, if the map design team needs work they should stop copy-pasting buildings and add 4 to 5 variations of every building type (it is pretty weird that every single big apartment building has a broken first stair)

and how many players do you think want to play on a server that is only online when the clan from the hoster is online?

Currency is whatever you have what other people need Also, no amount of proficiency will protect you from an organized assault, ammo will run out, as well as bandages, food and water when you are camping a location where zombies are atracted to, also people logging in behind your line of defense makes this effort totally ridiculous maybe, and thats a big maybe, if you have a private hive and manage to barricade a whole city like polana, or a castle like devils castle, but who will make sure the barricades will stay up and your loot or storage is still there after all your highly-trained pro tacticians log out?

Zombies need to be hard, but also understandable, in the mod you could prone right next to a zombie without the zombie seeing you, which was very good for stealth gameplay, yet aimlessly running around you had about 10 of them behind you, please ignore the whiners riht now, the only thing that needs changing is melee combat and zombie aggroing and respawning -
Afaik arma 2 had a grass concealment layer at distance without any mod at all, i doubt they removed this from toh or dayz sa, just go test it with a friend going prone at 200 meters without a backpack and without moving, if they completely disappear with aiming down with a gun, its still there

Is it just me or have they further increased the weapon sway on the mosin? it is really hard now to stay on target, even if it is not moving while firing prone and being rested... eventually a little overkill if you ask me

It is very difficult to make an anti-hack for any part of the arma engine i imagine, since arma never was intended for casual gamers that even tried to cheat, but for people seeking a simulation experience To easily make this a thing, arma is moddable and can add scripts on the fly, which is impossible for other engines this however also opens major holes in the security, doing the standalone on the arma engine was not a very good idea i think (yes i know its a modified ToH engine, but it's still originating from arma) Sooner or later, to stop hacking, they need to find a way to completely re-organize the scripts system, since BE seems to not be able to get every hacker Another problem is that BE global bans are issued 72 hrs after BE did find something, to counter false positives, which (and thisis a good thing) BE has very few of, despite hackers and cheat-program advertisers stating otherwise, so if a hacker is found, he has a three-day window of time to cheat like he wants to And the biggest problem is stupid little kids downloading the hacks and using them, which most of the time gives the producer of the hack the CD key of the one downloading the hack, so there are these guys producing hacks, switching CD keys like crazy, which never ever get BE banned at least that was also the situation in the mod now that gamespy is down, i think there are also VAC or steamID bans issued, but i am not sure about that -

Well, they do look like thin men with men faces after a few punhes to the face... but i don't want any snookies to run around in DayZ, either i imagine it can be pretty hard to find makeup in the Apocalypse, and few would care feminine faces though would really be nice you know... on the female characters at least or a justin bieber "male" one except for the two-face one, though that has to go... gives me nightmares -

I once died to a friend of mine shooting me because he thought i was another player, and took a bullet right to the head he was about 20 meters away from me and behind me, and i did not hear the gun firing just so you guys know, there are sound bugs and weapons that can headshot and kill you before the sound reaches you also, often times weapons just make no sound at all whatsoever for me... i think sound is far more important than the dev team thinks, because they scheduled it very late, the sounds are totally botched right now anyway: say one guy starts eating a can of pasta behind you, the moment you turn around and face him, you will still hear the sound playing behind you, which makes locating the direction sounds come from right now extremely hard...

that chair must be made out of adamantium... i am quite stealthy of a player, actually i rarely get spotted before i spot other people: I always close doors behind me, always scan the outside quickly when moveing through a "gate" such as the edge of a forrest or a door, and try to minimize my time outside with no wall at my back this kind of playstyle lets me choose wether or not to confront other players, either talking to them or trying to tak them down, depends on the situation, however it is completely impossible to play this way with a group, at least with the people i know, and you need a lot of silence for it, since footsteps are often the only thing protecting you from wlking around a corner into a shotgun to the face and no, i will never make youtube videos of that 1) it is boring to watch 2) my computer just wont handle it, it is barely playable in novi etc. at times wihtout recording tbh 3) i am not a good talker the first thing you need for this playstyle is patience, and time, also one time i followed a guy and his friend for about 2 hours, they NEVER scanned their surroundings and were KoS, i was about 200 meters behind them at all times (hardcore mind you, no corner peeking) finally when they tried to engage someone in a supermarket, i got them both with my AKM, which is a truly awesome weapon

Yes, only my dreams being extremely more fucked up and starring people i really know in RL, one day i had a dream where i had to fix up my sisters broken leg, only to have her die later because of blood loss i also once dreamed of driving a Dune bUgyy through DayZ, though that was more like a mixture between playing PS2 and DayZ, since we all had pewpew Lazorguns and lots of zombies to shoot... Fr some reason videogames make it into my dreams real easy, and i always have so cool dreams because of that :D

The mod did not implement vehicles at all, the vehicles were allready available through Arma 2 OA, The only thing really big about the mod was the hive mechanic, the zombies and the few survival stuff there is, the rest was pretty much pre-implemented in arma

"it's obviously not", why is that so obvious? they are working on the navmesh, just because it's not the first thing to get finished does not mean it doesn't have a high priority you know, programming AI behavior is not the simplest thing in the world, especially not in a map that is a few square kilometers big and there are supposed to be 1 - 4 thousand of the AI entities of course a few weapons will come out first, they are basically artwork needed to be converted to ingame files and stripped to a 3d model, which is far easier and has no effect on server or game performance

Sorry, but no matter how often you state that this is not a rant, you are still mocking the dev team for being to slow if you want cars and all that stuff, play the mod if you could handle the game being alpha, you wouldn't post useless obvious sh*t like this, which EVERYONE IS AWARE OF think you can do it better? i hope you are a very good programmer if you think that

Definitely. Really the only thing not fitting in terms of headgear plus gasmask is the motorcycle helmet, everything else only needs clipping adjustments... also, please make us able to actually wear the hood of the hoodie, plus gasmask, i wanna be a S.T.A.L.K.E.R. ^^ as far as i know, and i can be completely wrong, the gasmask did not provide any sort of protection at all -
you are an evil evil person and should be ashamed of yourself :o well, not really, since you are just using ONE of the hundreds of bugs in the game that is actually benefitial, though it becomes annoying when you do it too often and on purpose, it really destroys the feeling of the game, just like it did with NVGs in the mod there you are, living for 3 months, with a full kit of NVG, rangefinder, M24 (fuck the DMR) and M9SD, plus ghillie and everything, and one of your best buddy is asking you half an hour long to duplicate your hard-earned NVG and Rangefinder shot him in the head he never asked again

i am sure that, in case of you just spawning, once everything is made rarer (especially ammunition), fishing will become something you might have to do no gun = no hunting no normal food spawn finds only alternative would be collecting berries and apples, which will take even longer to get you energized, or fishing you would need a rope though, and an axe, which means that hunting with an axe would be possible, so forget everything i said it is indeed useless
