I've been in love with zombies ever since I was a kid. Obviously I am also in love with this game.

    Scary Person (oriental (?) Skin)

Because it's completely impossible to label someone based on something other than their face, like clothes or accessories. No dude. You're right. _________________________________________________________ My theory, it's a Takistani spawned in like in the granny video and just following you like a creep. I would have freaked right the fuck out as well and I don't blame anyone for not screen shooting. I know from experience when crazy stuff is happening I forget to hit record with Fraps, and so I miss a lot of cool stuff. Now add fear as well as adrenaline and nervousness, I would say trying to remember hitting extra buttons THEN would be nearly impossible. Maybe we can start a Monster-Hunter group on DayZ to find these creatures of the night?

    How to survive solo!

My plan of action is to run through whatever city I'm in hitting up orange/red brick houses along with the supermarket, schoolhouse and any warehouses/barns that may be in the area. Once I find a weapon (usually a hatchet or an Einfield) I go to the nearest hospital and get 2 morphine, 2 blood bags, and a box of pain killers. One note is that if you're near one of the hospitals in Elektro, there is usually a box behind the building with supplies near the trash cans, and I would recommend looting that instead of trying to go inside since others will be going to the front doors also and you run the risk of being player killed. One major tip for new players is that if you want to survive, you must cease to have trust for ANYONE. 9/10 players that you see are bandits. Not because they are evil or want to piss you off, but because they know from experience that bandits survive. 1/9 bandits is a sniper in the hills getting his kicks off from shooting unsuspecting players. So long story short... DON'T TRUST ANYONE! If you do, it's at your own risk. Most newly spawned players are trustworthy nowadays simply because they have no weapon, however once you find weapons, I've seen great guys turn into bandits right behind my back, either to get my weapon or steal something good that I found. But to top that off, here's a list of tools that you will need that will help you survive off the wilderness -Hatchet for wood and killing animals silently -Knife for gutting meat -Book of matches for lighting fires -Canteen for renewing water at fill stations -Revolver for last ditch efforts to kill zombies -Larger Bag (optional) to carry meat and medical supplies Hope this helps!

What do YOU do in Day Z?

The trend that I see is that people tend to be friendly at first, and the more they play, the more they become hostile towards everyone; I pretty much gather as much gear as I can and become a bandit. It sucks for anyone who is new, but I've been playing so long that PvP is really the only fun thing left to do, and the thrill of losing all your gear is such a rush. I would like to help new players survive and get gear but every time I do I get shot once they acquire a weapon, usually because I have a rifle or something good that their greedy asses want and they were just plotting against me the whole time. I've been brainstorming with my friends of possible mini games that could be added to liven the gameplay a bit and give something for players to do other than go around killing each other. Most of which would require quite a bit of programming and editing the original code, like adding a shop zone or being able to build new structures and clear forest areas. I think even character customization would add more playability with wanting to find new costumes or gear. Just something more than "avoid zombies, get stuff, dont die". To pass the time I actually began the process of uploading a video series to youtube for helping new players survive without a gun and food. I've seen a lot of complaints about that on the forums, and it gives me something to do as well as lets me help players without putting myself in harms way.
