wouldnt bother admin bans as he sees fit. while i was there people were openly hating on mexicans and gays without reprisal, but kill the admin at his camp get da bans -

s6 server just opened up those admins are clearly not abusers i'd recommend it to anyone looking for good hardcore gameplay of dayz. it seems that in the absence of hackers on private servers the admins become the hackers themselves, playing god with bans. very sad that principled people are few and far between -

the 20+ people never saw your ridiculous camp 2 days in and you dont address that part of the post at all. You accuse people without looking at logs and ban based on your personal feelings not actual offenses. You are free to admin your server how you see fit I am just trying to warn others who might be looking to form serious groups on your server that they will be battling with abusive admins. -

Abusive admin...heres the story. Server reset to a new hive 2 days ago, admin has a camp with 2 buses, 3 uazs, 3 tents with a few high end guns, and a helicopter. Someone steals helicopter, moves it, and we end up finding it. Crashed choppers are bugged on the server so we look for camps, find this huge camp, admin logs in immediately as we land, we kill him, another guy seems to log in but maybe was a glitch, there was a standing body at the admins body. Immediately they start accusing of hacking. I get shot and we take another guy out. Buddy drives one of the UAZ's away and as he is leaving a camp north of pobeba dam one of the other admin's buddies, who had been in a car at berezino, shows up. Friend in UAZ stops and takes them out. The admin never bothers to check logs all the while accusing of foul play. Foul play when 2 days into the server he had 3 of the nicest offroad vehicles and a chopper. KK. He later bans us more or less cause he felt like it. Its a nice server but watch your mouth and I wouldn't advice getting into a firefight with the admin, might net you a ban. Also difficult to find spawned vehicles as the admin apparently takes a group of 5 and rounds em all up for himself. Not worth your time for serious players, they want noobs to shoot. -

Peeps on your server I personally saw admin abuse. Orphen used side chat to give the location of someone away who had pm'd you for a restore. Orphen also threatened abuse in side chat regularly, threatening to turn peoples vehicles into different vehicles or ban them. I also personally saw you lock the server for just you and Orphen to do w/e the fuck you were doing. You banned 2 entire clans on your server lol. Like holy fuck. You banned people in clans who didnt even do anything wrong maybe you disagree'd with their clanmates actions and you banned the entire clan. You are an abusive douchey admin hands down no arguement. You wanna stock your server with noobs and ban anyone who you just don't like thats fine, but lets not pretend you are a super nice admin who gives out warning and shit. I saw you ban people for chat w/o warning. Unless your warning is "don't be a dick" which pops up and is only enforced when you see fit. You should take a poll, I bet a large majority of your server finds Orphen to be a dick. Guess he needs a ban lol. -

I wouldn't bother joinging this server. The admins have been accused of abusing several times and I've personally seen them ban people for 0 legitimate reason other than they felt like it. Just another private server with power crazy admins. Not worth your time. -
Hey errbody. I happen to be part of a clan called BangBros with about four steady players in it, and we have a youtube channel with some videos of our adventures. Hackers, and the state of the standalone game?

A lot of these posts popping up and I thought I'd join one already rolling. It is sad to me to see so many people's responses. "I have played 400 total hours and no hacker yet". This statement is a lot like saying "It's cold outside today so global warming isnt real!". Your personal anecdotal piece of evidence means nothing. The same could be said for the person complaining. There are some real legitimate problems with the game. As one person stated in a thread the mechanics of the game are heavily focused on gear gathering and survival. Both of these are majorly screwed with by the pressence of hacks, exploits, glitches like the coast spawning or the still persistant artifacts that cover the entire screen at key areas of the map, as well as the unreliablity of servers in general. All of these act against the intended play of the mod, to varying degrees, and should be addressed as problems. Hacks are a problem right now, I don't even need evidence I know it. They seem to become a problem in waves, or rather the problem goes away in short waves of a few days of hack free play until the hackers figure out a new method and we get a week or two of mass hacking. The sad thing to do is to cultivate an enviroment where the community stops bitching at Rocket about it. We should bitch until something is done, or else he should take down that 1,000,000 players banner above the website now as apparently there is no responsibility felt to give those players the intended experience. When I see people posting that this isn't a problem it is alittle sad, you do it to the detriment of the game. And mods on the forums I've noticed have been disgusting about the topic. "I played for 2 hours was fun I declare the game playable and thread locked". Completely ignoring the issue, treating it as a non-issue. This is the price we'll pay for hand holding developement of this game instead of standing up for the fact that you can't hide behind the "alpha" label as minecraft did with "beta" when you have a million individuals playing. You have a responsibility to deliever them, to the best of your ability, a playable mod. Many of those saying it is currently playable likely play the game at a low level (feel free to get offended). To those players who form serious groups, live in the north, start camps with vehicles and gear and try to hide and defend them, the mod is unplayable. Those aspects of it are stripped away by constant teleportation, global kill, and spawn glitches. This area of the game already suffers heavily from the fact that most servers are unreliable and go down for days at a time, some never to come back online again with no warning. You can build a base on a server that seems fine just to have it all disappear. There is no way to check these servers without getting to personally know the admins, there are no dedicated servers hosted by the dayz team, its a completely unreliable system and really hurts the motivation to even build a base. The answer to go onto a low pop server is crap, as that strips the pvp element right out of the game. 2 people online im so scared to move around the map....lets get real, if thats your solution, there is a problem. All of this becomes even greater because it is piled on top of the already huge problem that exists in dayz - altf4 and combat loggers. So lets just all stop pretending the game isnt broken. Yes the game is broken. Yes we should be mad. Yes we should bitch. Yes, they should fix it. And if you havent experienced these problems then wtf are you even doing in this thread? Go play your hack free dayz, and let the people for whom the game has been ruined stay here and complain for the playable mod that we paid for. Plz dont give me that "it's free" bs, Rocket & Bohemia know full well most people buying arma nowadays is for this mod. Can we stop hiding behind the "its free" and "alpha mod" labels that you slap on there to escape credibility please? Ty -
The most common exploit used in the game, without a doubt in my mind, is d/c-ing to avoid zombie aggro. This exploit is possibly the most frustrating when used against other players, d/c-ing or alt f4 to avoid dying and being looted by your murderer. However far and away it is used against zombies. The no weapon change is cute, but what good does it do when I can spawn elektro run flat out to the firestation and dc next to a gun only to log back in and start the game as tho it were 1.7. The solution to this problem seems very simple to me. Put a timer on dc-ing. 20-30 seconds before it actually logs you out and 90% of the exploiting immediately stops. You could go further and flag characters who have fired their gun/taken damage/in any negative combat status/have zombie aggro to not even be able to log out until they are unflagged, but that seems to me too much work where a timer would decrease the problem down to almost nothing. Give us a log off timer Rocket! :)

Looking for a mature English speaker or two to form a DayZ group with. I currently have a repaired tractor hidden on a server and am looking to use that vehicle to repair a few other vehicles I know of that you wont find on vehicle spawn maps. Namely a truck and two atvs. Set up a base camp. Also, I'd like to farm dat equipment out of some of the more dangerous places on the map, bring it back to our camp. From there we become da DayZ badasses. If anyone is interested leave me your skype or steam name and i'll add you. i am not looking for anyone to even be good at the game, more important is that you are trustworthy and not a douche. also not looking to be your leader, just wanna stock pile some shit then have some fun with it :) must have mic.
