    I understand, and I'm ok with it, but what I'm wondering is if this is allowed/normal or if it's a setting I *should* change or *need* to change to stay within the rules?

    I don't think this is against the rules. It's personal preference. Its a matter of changing the difficulty setting or changing the Difficulty Customizations. A lot of servers out there have different difficulties and customizations.

    I don't think they would make these settings easily changeable if it were against the rules.

    It's a waste of time, and it's more unnecessary negative pettiness that creates the frustration between players and admins. It's counter productive.

    And as for your link which provides a method for tracking the population and behaviour of certain servers - while it sounds like you intended this to be used for good, I'm sure most people will grab such a thing with both hands and spam even more topics about server behaviour. I don't think it's going to help at all.

    TL:DR - Leave the policing to the admins, and please stop with 'OMG SERVER locked' topics. It's just a waste of everyone's time. Spend your energy trying to help other people instead - be proactive and positive. Not everything is admins trying to shaft people.

    Nicely put. Let the Admins/Hosts do whatever they want. The rules will be enforced as the admins/devs see fit. If any server host or admin wants to spend their money just to get their server black listed then so be it. There are plenty more servers to choose from.

    Not sure what file you are changing. I am with HFB and the file that I change is the beserver.cfg file located in cfgdayz/BattlEye directory. Originally when I got the server it didn't have the beserver.cfg file so I had to create one. At some time the server created a second one so you might want to check to make sure you don't have a duplicate one as well.

    Im sure you already know this but it should be the same file where you set your RCon password.

    There were a lot of things happening in the server. There was definitely some hacking going on. It all started around 1800 EST, the trading post FTC had set up got blown up and they all got killed.

    I met up with them and we were speaking in a group when we all just went up in the air and instantly died.

    I shut the server down since everyone was heading to the trading post and thats where the hacker was focusing. I have contacted the Dev Team regarding this.
