Eh.. /shrug I only played for a bit last night but I didn't notice zeds swarming me as people are complaining about here. Yeah they came in pairs more often than just running up solo expecting to get damage done. What do I care I am a zombie fighting machine. Doesn't change the fact that I only aggro them when I mean to (mostly ;) ) and if I don't want to fight them I wont (haven't tested this more but I was easily able to run away from a few). My friends both had issues with the zed causing them to bleed but then they both logged in near buildings/cities so., the way I see it initially is more anit-server hopping measures. Great patch IMO from what I've seen.

I'll say this latest patch is not nearly as bad as the forums make it out to be. I am in fact very pleased with what I saw in the short time i played last night. Things seem more responsive and smoother, yeah zombies phase through walls but eh that's nothing new. We should all know how to deal with it. My guess is that the people complaining about "Waiting for host" and "please wait" never played the mod and so have no experience playing the DayZ Loading Simulator. Well I'm not all that mad they brought that mini game back.

Its hard to tell sarcasm in text :) From the sound of thing it does sound like they just added more lag issues. One can only hope that one day they will fix most if not all of the lag issues.

Were they a person? Or was "it" an object? Also, this seems like a story of a friend you didn't make.

Slightly exaggerated but yeah. The mod doubled the Arma2 Units sold in 2-3 months. This was after the game had been out for a good long while. I had the impression they were working on the SA while I was playing the mod. I was sadly mistaken.

We can only hope that one day they start removing lag instead of adding more.

I don't know I saw other threads complaining of this maybe read those? I don't know if there's anything in them all. The one i read mentioned that it had to do with people playing on exp servers.

I think it's okay with the amount of medics we have available and waiting to help people in these exact situations. I would think the bugs that break you legs would be more annoying. Also, it would be nice if you have the right tools to be able to go into a forest and make some sticks.

really though, all I do is as well. Shooting a gun only makes you more likely to get shot at. Sounds like you had an interesting life anyways. Plus my new gif is too good and fits too well in many situations.

Guns will always be in the game.

I was playing on US West 1-59 last night and decided I should try my hand at some sniping. I made my way over to the airfield from Krasnostav. When I got to the well directly east of the town, the server reset. That's fine, I figured I was more likely to find people looting the airfield. I logged back on but to my dismay only a few others did as well. I decided to creep up closer to the airfield and setup a tent anyways. After a few minutes I saw two dudes running east along the airfield with giant mountain backpacks. They skipped the control tower and went straight to the far east prison. The first guy goes straight in after opening the doors and the second one seemed to have major trouble getting up the stairs. I think he was lagging a lot because he also appeared to be sliding backwards after attempting the three stairs to the prison. Not wanting to shoot at the lagger for fear of missing I figured I wouldn't have another good opportunity once they get inside. I fired off three rounds all while the guy was stationary at the base of the stairs. Nothing seemed to connect but I couldn't tell for sure. What I do know is that they sure as hell knew they were being shot at because the guy finally made it up the stairs and they closed the doors. Now the waiting game. I took another look at the player list and there were still only ~6 people on. Sure enough after a few minutes only ~4 people on.. exciting end. I'm going to start calling Mountain Backpacks, Hopper Packs because those kiddos seem to really like hording loot. ----------------------------------- Back to waiting. ----------------------------------- After another 5 minutes or so I noticed another user log in who I thought had an interesting name. Authorized User. About another 5 minutes after that I spot my second target running up from the east side. I try to go prone with bipod out but since I had not planned out a spot to do so the damn grass was in the way. So I took the shot from the crouch position. I realize now I opened fire a bit early. The first shot appeared to land a stride behind him even though I aim'd a bit in front. The bullet travel time was a lot more than I expected. Needless to say at that point he started moving in every which direction and started to go back the way he came when I fired off my third shot. He then turned and ran directly at me. I got off a 4th shot as I saw his green beret dip below a ridge in front of me. At this point I was thinking I could try one more shot, pull out my shotgun, wait and hid.. Or run. I opt'd for the running route because I did not know if he saw me and I did not want to find out what kind of gear he was packing. I decide to make my retreat as I was pretty worried about my safety. Coming back around about 10 minutes later I spotted what I assumed was the same guy running from the far east prison. I took a shot but knew i wouldn't be close and he appeared to be coming around to try and flank me. But I lost sight of him and went back to a bush and read a book :) (in game ofc). ----------------------------------- Long story short (oops), I believe this guy was Authorized User because I checked the player list every so often and he never logged off. Whoever he was, that guy provided much more entertainment for the both of us than those two chump loggers. Was it you Authorized User? We may never know. Thank you for reading if you managed to get through all of that. No time to proof as its lunch time.

This guy! I thought I could trust him and he catches me with my guard down. Yeah, those are my pristine Black and Sunburst Leather shoes on HC. Please don't kill me for them.

I like how the last one appeared to be dazed then the next punch put him down. The second guy wanted to tap gloves and you were like fuck that shit :lol:

Interesting. I definitely forgot it wasn't me that just die for a second there. Also, military spawns are kill zones. Something to take into account if u don't wanna bandize people. eh?

I'm not even sure he saw me or my muzzle flash but just knew I was in that direction. Or maybe he just randomly decided to change directions, unlikely. I'm glad you guys liked it. I will also note that reading a book in a sniper hole at the NEAF is quite scary. When it starts raining and you think someone is creeping or those damn zombie rabbits reloading their zombie guns.

I would guess you already have the dayZ's installed at different locations. Otherwise I don't know what it could be.

What was this thread about? I saw this guys sig and forgot.. too good. :thumbsup: But really, if you don't want to play the SA because of the bugs... don't? If you voted no, no one is forcing these ppl to play now right? I'm definitely confused as neither answer really matters since both options can be acted out.

And he can most likely crouch or lay down and be completely invisible which is why you probably didn't hear or see anything for a while. I bet that's how my friend died an hour ago. Nice video tho.
