    Anyone ever noticed this...?

Was kind of thinking that myself. Kind of a proximity thing going on. But I guess that's negated if someone's already inspected the place, and still somewhat nearby. Found myself not playing for about a month, and coming back on the roof of the Fire Station in a server with around 8 people, to find plenty of loot sitting around. Completely untouched. But, that's why I was asking. Sometimes it does it, and sometimes it doesn't

    Anyone ever noticed this...?

Just something I picked up on. But say, whenever I spawn inside the fire station at Elektro, in a server with only 4 or 5 people in it. I find that there's absolutely no loot to be had. I don't mind it, but sometimes you can't find a single can or anything for a good while. Is it the game trying to load in the items? Because, I've found running back after...say...3 or 4 minutes, the game puts items there. Is this to prevent server hopping? Or...something else?

Feedback from a fairly new player.

I have to admit, the game is getting to be rather rough. I do remember being able to pick this up with a few friends in the past, and be able to meet up with random survivors, because we all were trying to survive. Might it be someone trying to get medical treatment, food, water. Anything. We did try to survive. But now, I've noticed it's not quite so much about that. I know I run the risk of sounding like a "carebear" (who came up with that anyway?), but it does kind of feel that at this point, people are killing one another just for the lulz. Like you said, someone with a flashlight? Not really a threat. Only time I did kill someone (indirectly) who had a flashlight was because he attracted a GIANT hoard on me, and wouldn't stop following me, no matter how hard I tried to lose him. At that point, I had to shoot him in the leg to get him away, unless he get us both killed. Back to the original point. It is an Alpha, and we should be treating it as such. Should be trying to push and stress the boundries of the game. And yes, that does mean we do need some bandits in the game, because they're some of the stuff that needs adjusting, just like the survivors. But, at this point, everyone is kind of considering it to be more of a "glorified" demo, or whatever you want to call it. Certainly not an alpha. It is making it rather difficult for more...recent players to get involved. Few people picked the game up due to some of the video's they've seen. Now? After playing if for a night? Most of them are like "Meh...". Shouldn't be like that. Should be more like "Damn! That was fun! Dude, same time tomorrow?" Heck yes! "Alright, let's do it!". It's just more that it's getting hard for new players who don't know the ropes to survive. Players who wanted it harder were the ones who've played for a while. They know the ropes. These people who've never played ArmA before? It's brutal. Anyway, yeah, got carried away there. :P

    Just an idea

I was thinking. A lot of people seem a bit upset with the current update, with the inclusion of the heartbeat system. Thinking it over, it does have some potential, but it possibly just needs some tweaking. The idea of "Put your cursor on someone" isn't a bad idea, but instead of using a heart beat, why not add something next to someone's tag? I'm sure you've all seen "Man[Example]" when you encounter another person while hovered over them. Perhaps, instead of using the heartbeat system, why not, say...add something next to the name? Using the humanity system, it might say things like "Man[Example] [Friendly]" when a person has high humanity. When someone has a bit lower, kinda in that gray area, instead of Friendly in the text box, it could say something like "Unsure" or "Sketchy", giving you an idea that, "Hey, you /can/ see what this person is up to, but do it at your own risk". Perhaps for someone who's a bandit, someone that goes around slaughtering others, it might say something like "Evil" or "Killer" next to the name. Could say something else, those are just some of the words that were on the top of my head. Point is, perhaps just adding a tag next to someone's name when they play will possibly help with encouraging others to team up, or be weary of one another, versus the common "Shoot On Sight" routine. Which, we all know will never go away completely, but hopefully something like this could tone it down, even if only a slight bit. Okay, done with speech. Ideas? Thoughts? Suggestions?
