If I'm not mistaken, isn't that the ACRE mod or ACE mod inventory system, which isn't actually part of ArmA II? Also pretty sure that they do use the Arrowhead inventory system for DayZ.

Having the hunting knife as a melee weapon would be a good idea. A machete as a melee weapon would be awesome!

Even with the gamma set to 2.0, it gets very hard to see at night, and flashlights make life a hell of a lot easier for either the newly spawned player, or someone who just hasn't come across good military spawns. [/quote'] Exactly, and if you had to find batteries to keep using the torch or other electronics, it would add a whole new survival aspect to the game imo.

Yeah it doesn't make any sense at all that if a bullet flies past your head you can just keep running around acting like nothing has happened. Flinching after you get shot at would be a good addition to gameplay and would make firefights more interesting. +1 to this idea.

Yeah I agree, it seems a bit over the top that vehicles explode like that. Also more vehicles would be good, would love to fix up an Army humvee :)

I would love to see gasmasks in DayZ, teargas would also be useful in PvP and against zeds. +1
