So as a private hive vilayer customer that's looking into a dedi box what would you suggest? What we are after is that we can add extra content ie buildings and weapons etc but the main thing is to get it whitelisted and passworded to keep out the hackers. Any ideas? i'm in the UK? Btw i haven't had a problem that hasn't been fixed asap with Vilayer, tops boys tbh and if anything goes wrong i pop on to see Lee and he sorts it or i get in contact with Shawn or Casey.

Bit of a n00b question tbh guys but i was wondering how we can password the server to try and keep out the ever threat of hackers? I know you can password it from the in game server control but when i log out i take it the password would come off? Any help on this would be greatly appreciated chaps!!

Lee is working on adding more vehicles and was even wanting to put in the Lynx helicopter!

Vilayer rolled out a new patch for saving and i installed this last night, after a few restarts this morning i can confirm that my character is saving on the server i run ;)

He needs the dreaded 3rd party software!

Yeah it's only available via commander m8.

I'm sure Lee said you can only get the files via DZ Commander i'm afraid! What's the map like then? Tbh i was thinking it would just turn into an as50 fragfest with camping snipers, hell can just imagine people spawning in TWS as50's arrgh! ;)

Who did you go with for your server bud?

Pushing the server down to 50 man hopefully tonight to combat lag when it reaches 60 people. Also there seems to be a hive related problem when saving your character, after a restart some players have been experiencing progress being moved back to a previous destination. Vilayer know about this problem and should hopefully have it sorted asap! Also look out for our server trying out the new Takistan map that should be released tonight or tomorrow.

Server now up running the new Utes Island map!!! 94.242.227.214:2332 Veteran - Crosshair and 3rd Person On Side chat enabled Server is running the latest DayZ Hot fix and Beta patch! YOU DO NOT HAVE TO DOWNLOAD THIS MAP, JUST CONNECT TO THE SERVER AND VOILA!! Game on guys and have fun!!

Apparently it became a camp fest with new spawns being killed with in seconds! I should of really play tested it first but some of the guys were over eager to put it up! I'll test out takistan before i post up.

Back up and back to Chernarus, most of the guys on Mumble voted that the map was terrible which is nice because i didn't get bloody chance to play it!!

New map ;) Server is showing the old beta and dayz patch but we are updated and good to go ;)
