Kudos to the devs on selling that amount as they bloody deserve it!! From the mod to SA, DayZ has been one of the greatest and most addictive games i have ever played and this is coming from someone who has played games for around 34 years. Hats off, and here's hoping to quite a few more years playing this amazing game :)

But zombies aren't there to entertain you m8, i mean they aren't there to hold your hand and show you where the best loot is spawning are they lol! If you have these types of feelings over z's then you need to evaluate if you really should be playing this game ;)

Now i would defo play that mod! As for zombies, well the main problem in DayZ is there aren't enough of them! I want to be out in the middle of nowhere and come across a horde that will literally make me shit myself! I want to be able to barricade myself into a house whilst i have 20 zombies outside waiting to get me, i want to feel that panic that i could be stuck in that house for hours! We are yet to see this in game, when we do i think people will then realise we have a real, proper, zombie survival game in our hands.

Loving night and i know once this game is allowed into the private hive sector once again all we will see are 24 f'n 7 daytime servers. Talk about cutting the horror and tension from a game pfft!!!

Didn't Dean say months ago that he wanted the player count up to 250 players, or was i dreaming?

I would imagine the devs know about this, we played on a server last night and one of them was playing (can't remember his name). Apart from this problem and the fact that the zombies now have super spidey senses and can spot you through 5 houses i'm actually loving exp. Night time and the fact you have to scavenge harder is great, and those 100 man servers oooooh!! <3

I'm not being funny but if people don't like night time in DayZ then they really shouldn't be playing it! Again i've just come off and it just adds so much more to the experience, even the difference in the weather and clouds/sun etc when it's kinda light brings a different atmosphere to the game. Excellent and keep up the good work!

Just come off and have nearly crapped my pants quite a few times lol! Ahhh man this reminds me when i first started playing the DayZ mod, all we need now are flares :)

I've been playing games since 1979 and i have to say that the mod is probably one of the best games and experiences i have ever had. I'm enjoying the standalone and tbh stick with it and watch it grow but there's no reason why you shouldn't dive on in and sample some of the mods delights! If you do buy it (using DayZ Commander), make sure you try - De 1000 servers which you can by playing vanilla DayZ, Epoch, Breaking Point or the rather excellent Zero or maybe just head on in for some original DayZ shenanigans :)

I did 1,200 hrs on the mod with in 5 months of it being released and i have a job, wife and kids and yes i was nearly divorced :P

I've ran this morning (didn't take me long like the mod used too tbh) from Bere, right along the coast into Elek, Cherno and onto Balota, went back up into Chap, Nov then Dub and everywhere was untouched! Now i've gone back to Novoselky, tried around 4 high populated servers, sat and listened and have heard no gun fire or anything to indicate that there are players in the area. I did the same the other day, ran all the way from NEA and stopped off at Stary then onto NWA and encountered no one!! Again i tried changing servers to see if people were about and nothing. Which brings me to this puzzling question, where the hell is everyone? I was up at the NEA last night with two other guys, seen 3 guys mooching about so we decided to leave and head back down to Svet to be greeted by no one. Anyway we head over to Bere and that's where we encounter around 7 people duking it out, we ended up having a firefight with these guys for nearly an hour yet the puzzling question was, where the hell were the other 27 people that were playing on the server?

Sorry if this is in the wrong section. Looking for a high populated server that has a decent day/night cycle and is situated somewhere near the UK. Cheers for info :)

Maybe not, but having more would be a hindrance to oneself. Trying to battle through a major city and it's heavily populated count of undead just for a can of beans is what this game really needs. Would also make a lot of people who are solely into pvp think before opening fire in a town.

Even though SA is out i still think the mod looks beautiful, and under all it's clunkiness is still a blast to play :)

The game will change once vehicles are back in, the option to make camps and being able to store items/gear etc, this in turn will bring a bit of PVP in more random areas but also give players the option of hunting out more gear etc. More zombies, the fear of dying because you need that medical equipment in Cherno but are put off by the sheer amount of z's strolling about could force people into finding other areas to heal at. Random spawning could work, Breaking Point did this well. Wasteland type missions. And the problem with the Valleys/Sol spawns was because of the deathmatch that was Balota i thought? I shouldn't try and think with a hangover lol!

The only time i felt scared was when i first played the mod (nearly 2 years ago, eek!). Zombies were everywhere and Cherno was running riot with bandits and people that hadn't a clue what they were doing. The main ingredient and one that people just seem to hate period? Night time!! Horror movies are normally set at night and that's where the scares are gained, not by some 24-7 daytime server! Coupled with some of the points the OP has made this game will seriously put the sh**s up you lol Would really love to find a full UK/EU server that has night still running, just to finally use the flashlight and head torch for a change instead of the sun setting the way :P

I could do with an UK/EU server that runs vanilla and has some sort of day/night cycle. Kinda hard to traipse through endless amounts of servers to find that right one!! Thx if anyone can help btw :)

Not sure where to put this!! Tried every single route in order to get in touch with Vilayer about my mumble channel which went down after payment. No one seems to be answering tickets, skype, customer hotline and it seems no one even bothers to hit up TS any more :( I noticed a few guys on TS last night that had names ranging from TS down to no server support in the last 24hrs, any ideas what's going on over at V? Again sorry if this has been put in the wrong forum!!

Any V guys seeing this, can you sort my mumble channel out as it's been down for a few days now. I paid and was still getting the emails saying it would be terminated in so many hours etc. I think the ticket service is also broken as when viewing my ticket on the website comes back with nothing :( ip is 37.­59.­29.­178:­64738

Lol getting more attention for Rchard D James than Vilayer which tbh ain't a bad thing haha!! @Fluxley Been frequenting their TS for quite a few months m8 and i haven't seen one V guy on there in that time, you would always find Lee on there but he seems to of gone to ground! looks like submitting a ticket is broken, you get the confirmation email to say you have sent one but actually viewing it on V's webby comes back with zilch :( Cheers for the replies guys :)

Pointless to you but not to me, the games he listed weren't the type that would draw me away from DayZ because putting it in a nutshell they are s***! Maybe he needs to play some different games :)
