I just can't play this game anymore.... (rant)
replied to richard_b's topic in New Player Discussion
Yeah don't get attached to your gear, ever. Everything is temporary, remember you are playing Alpha, you may just die by some stupid glitch next to a tree, rock, or a door that breaks all the bones in your body. As for PvP, just wait until the karma system is actually working, that way you know who to shoot and who to team up with. -

Slower zombies, increased numbers.....
replied to 's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
NO, I want zombies to move at 1000+mph, I want them to be almost in a berserking God-mode state, and I want them to kill you in 1 or 2 hits. Make them as difficult as possible. So the game would revolve around being cautious of zombies more than players. -
Can anyone actually play at night?
replied to FrostDMG's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Most people that say night is easy probably have their gamma turned up, or own night vision goggles, or play on a low populated server. -
There's literally so many zombies in this game. There's zombies that just wonder around cities, zombies that attempt chasing me, zombies that run from me, zombies that glitch out do some stupid crap, zombies that break your leg in a single hit, zombies that hold guns, zombies that eat canned food, zombies that drink water, zombies that kill other zombies, zombies that enter houses and search for loot, zombies that shout, "friendly!" ..aha.. those are the most funny zombies out of all, everyone knows zombies are not friendly, silly zombies. I drink beer and shoot zombies. So many zombies.

Shooting everything you see isn't realistic...
replied to MperorM's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Guess what, these threads will continue, if you are able to think logically even for a slightest bit, you would understand why. -
Shooting everything you see isn't realistic...
replied to MperorM's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Yes, there has been many threads like these. Must be a sign, eh? On perhaps what needs fixing next. -
Shooting everything you see isn't realistic...
replied to MperorM's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Yeah, I like how everyone thinks they're badass on the internet for bragging about how many murders they have gotten. The bandit always has the first shot, he will always have the first kill, unless he meets another bandit. The more time goes by, the more people turn into "shoot on sight murderers". Obviously there needs to be some harsh feature that makes a bandit think twice before committing a murder. -
Want players to play with. Squads!
replied to banned's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Sad thing to see metagaming is pretty much the only way to finding a legit group. Where's the fun in that, I mean really. Wouldn't it be much more exciting to find "squads" or players to team up with you within the actual game. But, oh wait, everyone shoots on sight! How does that work? Watching posts like these hurts my eyes a little. -
Seems like people are fine with the whole "shoot on sight" mentality. I for one, am not. I believe this game has much more to it than a brainless "trust no one, shot everyone on sight" mode.

37 murders and counting..
replied to Yosdiel's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Aha, you'll see not too long from now that all this murdering is actually 99.9% of the population within the game. And that it gets old, fast. -
When will the new update come?
replied to Henyo10's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Here's a better question. Would you rather wait a few extra days or have a broken update? Let them take as much time needed, I rather have an update that actually works rather than a faster update that breaks more things than it fixes. -
An attempted experiment...
replied to Redrick (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
You are not the rest of the community, many people, when shot in the back by some guy, over and over again, they will just start shooting on sight just like the others. And if the only way for me to find a legit group is by searching the forums, that's called metagaming, and it just makes it clear how the co-op experience is broken at the moment within the game. -
An attempted experiment...
replied to Redrick (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
... and you stop other players from doing this by opening fire in infected areas? Huh. Right' date=' whatever. I'm going to play more Day Z. [/quote'] SD weapons. Oh and thanks for only hitting on one of my points. A player with zombies behind him is louder and more visible than a SD shot from a M9 or Bison. Do you WANT me to systematically go through each of your points and illustrate why in most cases it's still pointless to open fire on everything that moves? I don't think you'd want to sit around arguing over every play tactic you use. The point of this thread is discover why people KoS. I am here to bring knowledge of why. That is all. So yes me explaining why we do each point I listed would be a benefit to this thread. Even if group stuff is put in groups will still fight and lonewolves will still walk the lands. Group pvp will be super common and lonewolves looking for easy loot will stalk people who are apart of big groups. PvP will never go away. It may change, but that's it. Group PvP sounds much more exciting, does it not? Or do you enjoy crawling by yourself for hours until some random guy puts a bullet in your back. I don't want PvP to go away, I just want that "group-up" ability. To understand who is the friendly and who is the bandit, it should not be such a great mystery. And no, I do not enjoy metagaming, such as having a pre-planned group before starting the game, with people that I already know. It is much more exciting (for me) to group up with people that are strangers, to see the way they do things, to meet new people, to experience the unexperienced. Because you know the bandit will always have the first shot, he will always have the first kill. That's what causes people to lose faith in trusting others. -

Yeah, PvP? Wut's dat? There's no PvP in this game, everyone's a zombie anyway There's just zombies that hold weapons, zombies that try and convince you they are friendly by yelling "friendly". Zombies that try to hide from you. Zombies that shout "don't shoot I'm friendly!" when you point your gun at them. Zombies that get eaten by other zombies. Zombies that eat beans. Zombies that drink water. Zombies that break into houses trying to steal loot. Zombies that shoot other zombies with guns and steal their stuff. Zombies that betray other zombies within their zombie pact. What's all this PvP non-sense about. Get me moar beer, I have to deal with all these damn zombies.

Is the Bandit "Problem" Fixing Itself?
replied to ChaoticRambo's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
The only way to actually co-op right now and not get shot in the back is to metagame, how fail is that, eh? -
Humanity based location spawning (PVP vs Carebear)
replied to Bensly jones's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
If you want people to take your post seriously use proper terminology. "Carebares", "Good", "Bad', "Evil" are some pretty horrid classifications. Might want to fix that if you want people to actually read your whole suggestion. -

Scopes should just be removed, in my opinion. It would increase the skill level of sniping someone and make things much more interesting. It would also make it feel more authentic to the post apocalyptic world.

Why did you shoot me.
replied to Maarten (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Agreed, many threads already point to this flaws, I hope that this is next on the list to be fixed, because the way things are right now, I don't feel motivated to play. It makes things boring. Everyone has this "shoot on sight" mentality, it really ruins the whole aspect of "finding out who the person is" and "questioning on what to do". Shoot him, get all his items and survive. Don't shoot him and go into the risk of being shot in the back. Until this is fixed, the game is pretty damn boring. -
Announcing your presence and to kill or not to kill
replied to Xelacalle's topic in New Player Discussion
If you want to be a kind / good karma player and at the same time not be stupid / get backstabbed. The only choice for you is to ignore player contact, it is boring, but I believe that is the kindest thing you can do the way things are right now. Until karma system is fixed and starts working properly that is.
