I actually doubted for a second, but then you came with the ' I don't know shit about audio stuff' argument. This was the most elaborate ruse I've ever seen. Well done to that. Now I feel like this was a waste of time, but oh well, it was fun. Btw, using mumble is totally legitimate imo, I'd still use radios and voip to interact with other players, but I don't go on mumble to play only dayz, I'm there hanging with friends, and to think: 'Hey let's play dayz, meet you in elektro, cya' and logging out of mumble would be just stupid.

Chernarus is a pretty good map imo, i think that a few rivers leading to the sea would make the map perfect. as players would actually have to change their route instead of pressing w till you reach your destination.

I think they shouldnt just kick people for not being 18. give them a trial at least. There are 15 yo way more mature than 18+ yo people

So me and my friends ( a group of 4 ) head to the rog castle to check the heli spawn (we merely wanted to get to berezino, and it was in the way so why not). As we get close to the castle we notice 4 bikes perfectly placed on the road, just like they were meant for us. We suspect, position our sniper and lee enfield guy far away and the CQC guys go take a look. Every single bike had damaged wheels, so we got out of there as soon as possible. While leaving, I look back and there were no bikes on the road anymore. 5 minutes later, really close to the castle, the same thing happenned. The bikes were placed the same way the other ones were, and they disappeared some time later. At that time we relaxed a bit, thinking that it was a hacker playing with us. We raided rog castle and left the server right away.

I just have to share what happened to me 15 mins ago. I was playing arma II multiplayer with my friends, where this guy comes insulting me and my friends because we said we were new and that we started playing arma because of dayz. Being the admin of the server, he started kicking my friends at random and I started an argument with him, but he would only say things like: "There are people who could be doing better in your spot so leaving" with lots of bad words in the middle. I wonder, why are we hated so much? I bought arma II because of dayz and only played dayz for quite a long time. But now I'm enjoying arma II pretty much and guys like that just make the game experience really bad. What are your thoughts on that?

i clearly stated that i wanted to learn and asked him nicely to explain how what i was doing wrong was supposed to be done. But my point is that i think arma II vets should welcome newcomers, try to learn, and if they're not interested in learning either leave them alone or kick them if they're bothering...

I got the the rank of lieutenant just flying the jet, i was using every gun except for the one he asked me to, because i really didn't know how to. If i don't know how to pilot a jet, why should i stop using it? that's what gets me angry about you arma players: That thing about: Oh you're a dayz players just grab a weapon and shoot some commies you can't do much else herpa derpa. What if i fucking want to learn?

My point is, just because i bought the game because of dayz that doesn't make me not worth of playing arma... its just plain stupid seing people leave a game because new people arrived. Look at team fortress 2, it went free, all kinds of kids and stupid teens wandering around. We can't just call them f2p tf2 and kick them out,...

I think it should be a good thing, as long as vets choose to help newcomers instead of insulting them. I didn't buy arma II before because i had never heard of it. I didn't know there was a military simulator like this. If i knew, i would've bought it.

Man I was playing in a purely strategic way, i was cooperating with other people on side channel and then the guy insults me for not know how to operate with one of the bombs of the jet i was flying.... he didnt even try o teach, he just began insulting

Game purchase only Studio developed, involving the community will always let half of the players down and no one wants that. community AND studio servers kickstarter plus valve, just as KeelPool said.

Why would someone in this game give loot to potential enemies?

So me and my mates got tired of the city and headed to the airstrip north of berezino. We raid the airstrip, find some ammo, drinks and then run to some hills nearby. We then disconnect. Some hours later we enter in a different server and start watching the airstrip with our binoculars and we notice the control tower is destroyed. Some seconds later, a working helicopter spawns behind the control tower. Boosted by enthusiasm, we run directly to the huey, get in it and ride it some minutes. We crash and die, I manage to spawn somehow right near my old body and get everything I had before. The helicopter bursts into endless explosions and I run away like hell, leaving the airstrip in what seemed a big ass fire swarming all the area. Any thoughts of what caused a working huey to spawn in dayz where there are no hueys?

And it was damaged in the engine, that's why I crashed. Otherwise it would be all cool =)

I think the heli was way too close to the contol tower for it to be a spawn location. Thing is, the fire it caused when it crashed was really big, like stupid big. It swallowed up the entire airstrip.

So i just got a new pc for gaming and, as before all I needed to do was turning every settings on low and disabled, I didn't need to know a lot. Now I'm more interested about such features, and I would like to know what every video setting on arma II does. My specs: Intel core i5-3570K @ 3.40GHz AMD Radeon HD 6870 8.00 GB RAM If you need any other spec please refer to it in the comments. What I've done: - I've managed to get the game playing smoothly with amazing graphics, although I think I could turn something down and compensate on other features (i.e. reduce AA to increase textures) What I want: - The game running smooth - Good looking graphics - No graphic glitches and stuff Thanks in advance to anyone who reads this. =)
