Thanks for the link LivingError, but I don't really understand what exactly the atoc and fsaa options do. I saw that atoc changes the tress and stuff, but he referred that players could see me with low settings when I cannot see them with the setting in high. What is this about? -
Well, there are lots of successful solutions to this: - If you've just updated your dayz / beta version, restard your computer. - Try to change your HDR settings, found in the menu - settings - video settings - advanced. - Sometimes, simply restarting the game worked for me. - If nothing else works, verify that you are playing in a server with the same beta version than you, I believe the actual one is 95417. Also try to individually play with your video settings, trying to understand which settings increase the stretched polygons and which reduced. Hope this helps, Brites

i've read that what causes such glitches are dead players or zombies (no idea which). I was in cherno sniping with my friend, he kill a man n the hospital roof, some time later it was impossible to aim there as as I could see were these glitches. I make my way to stary sobor with a friend, more glitches whenever i look at the military tents. I was the only one able to see such glitches, both my friends couldn't see them. Hope there is a reason for this and an easy way to fix it.

Thanks for the clarifying link, Vipeax. Just concluding, for everyone who thinks its unfair for players to sit in cherno or elektro killing people, play smart. If you get shot once out of nothing, the next time you're there try to check for sniping spots, places where the killer might have been. I think the check your 6 tip is pretty obvious. If you died, it's because you did'nt pay enough attention. About the bandits, they'll run out of supplies (either ammo or food and drinks), so they're not griefing in any way. They're just surviving and suppresing any possible threat. Personally, I like to go to any major city, either elektro or cherno right when I spawn, crawling everywhere until i find a pistol or an axe. From then on, I walk away from cities, and tend to stay away from them as much as possible. My objective is to get good gear and then run into the city with my mates, helping people who need it and killing those who show agressive behaviour. -

please stop with the deathmatch / cod threads already. So far, I've temporaly teamed up with 4 players, and i had no idea if they would kill me or team up. If you want partners, take the risk. If you dont, either shoot to kill or slip away. About the penalty for killing: I dont think that in a zombie apocalypse anyone would go to jail or give a fine to pay. As I said, its either shoot or run. IMHO, the game is good as it is in terms of features. Some little tweaks on the coding and adding some features and the game is perfect. -
From what i've played so far in the recent update, I found the following: - zombies spawned back in a deer stand i had just cleared out. (1 minute or so) - zombies aggro'ed from a really long distance, even when prone / crouchwalking - when I logged into a server, I had lost my ghillie suit and some stuff, weapon included. (Known issue, just wanted to state it again) - a strange issue, whenever I aggro a zombie, they run away like 5 or 10 meters and then run towards me. This is surely not intented. - most servers lag ALOT. Not sure if this is an issue related to DayZ dev team or to the server owners, but it's really annoying to see your friends running while stopped or running a long distance and then teleport back. And that's it. Apart from that I found the performance much better.

Well, it's pretty damn clear, friendly players appear once in a dayz lifetime and friends are a worthy help. I was wondering if any european (english, preferably) would want to play with me. Alright, I've been trying to have success in this game and after several atempts i've managed to get an ak74, a makarov and now im on the roof of the hospital of elektro with a blood bag that i want to use. I've heard that blood bags must be used by other players on you to work, is that right? If i want to play alone, and with the removal of the side chat, how am I gonna restore my blood levels?

Alright, I don't have friends willing to buy arma II CO to play this mod I i have to play by myself. Back when there was a side channel, I got to team up with some guys and raid some towns easily, but now with it's removal, I find communication between player really rare, and even I have to shoot on sight to avoid dying. What i'd like to know is if there is any other way of communication, what the group channel and the other are meant for, and if side channel is going to be back. -

the removal of side channel has is pros and cons as always. it improves realism, as you can't talk to people that are on the other end of the map... but it cuts communication between players and improves shooting on sight. but this directional chat might be the answer. What i thought of is a radio that when equipped would allow writing in the side channel. thanks for the help! it really helped me -
@Chanvlan Dear awesome person, Thank you for your tutorial, as it helped me understanding how mods work but above all, it fixed my frame rate problem. Upon installing the mod according to your tutorial, I was acutally able to enter a building without alerting zeds. (Which was impossible due to frame rate being almost below zero) Also, thanks for letting peple know how to properly install a mod instead of just giving them the files or a software. You, sir, rule

I think everyone agrees that zeds should be tweaked a lil bit. its impossible to enter a building without agroing some. We cant even look for loot with zeds respawning right after you kill some. IMO reduce their capabilities (they're zombies after all, not mutants with super powers) to what they were and delete the investigation thingy. I understand it makes it more real, but most of the people play this game at a low fps rate already, with the zombie AI reducing more fps its just unplayable. As for axes, keep up the tests. It's too soon to say if it will work for the future or not as a mellee weapon. -
I have an issue. I read that we need arma II to play the version 1.7.1.2, how can i get it (im playgin trought steam) Also, i use six launcher to play the mod.

@Rocket, In case you really read these suggestions and care about what we play: 1 - Zombie damage increase was perfect and now zombies do a fair damage. 2 - For zombies to do such damage, they should have their other "skills" (smell, vision, hearing) a little bit reduced, just like before. 3 - Keep the "no weapon no supplies" spawn feature. There aren't enough bandits for every player spawning, and some of them will make it to the villages and be able to arm and supply itself ( provided that zombies are not smart, killing machines). 4 - I dont know what caused it, but since 1.7.1 the fps drop made it just unplayable. So please, in behalf of all those who suffer from fps drop, fix this. Hope you get to read this, Brites -

What i dont seem to understand is how a simple patch can ruin so many people's fps problems. I could run the game before 1.7.1 and now its just impossible, being it either constant breaks or 5 second breaks with 5 second normal play. -
I'm having problems with fps as well. I could play the game with no problems until this 1.7.0 update. hope rocket does something about it
