Alright, I usually haven't liked watching DayZ for months now. But you are a very good commentator, you know what you're doing, you're not boring, and you ran into such a hilarious bunch of guys. Sub'd.

Well, first off I'm amazed they did the "hold up" thing, haven't had an encounter like that in ages.** But regardless always amazing when it does happens. "I just shoot people" is just fucking stupid and I hate everything about the KOS mentality. Hence, why I no longer really play the DayZ mod, I had 50k humanity fixing random people, and I encountered way too many immature people with hatchets looking to just chop up an unarmed person looking to help, then proceeding to brag about being the best bandit ever for killing a medic of sorts. I lost faith in humanity when I played this game, but met some really amazing people at the same time. Still really cool to see a person like Lone doing his Regulating thing. **If you don't want to read all of that, I like DayZ but don't really like the people who play it, I'm amazed that you got the have such an encounter.

For the addition of animations I'm all for, there is a mod for Arma 2, that adds so many new animations to the game. Like, climbing over wall, actually vaulting, and flicking people off. I like those ideas, however, the idea of character progression is nice, but it may be nicer to have only on a basic level, like if you're healthy and are alive for a long time, you're endurance will be better = longer running/faster running. However if you're unhealthy/underfed/dehydrated/hurt you'll be slower and/or not run as far. a.k.a. I like what you're saying, so I put my opinion!

Ahh, then I suppose we misunderstood each other. Regardless, I looked at the Carvan and thought that would be great fun to drive in the zombie Apocalypse!

Always great to encounter friendlies. I play on a DayZ+ server, 4 out of 6 encounters result in talking with them, and usually only half of them end up trying to kill you.

The npcs in DayZ will be zombies and animals, hate to be the bringer of bad news. However if players were doing caravans that would be something great to see... but that would require them to not want to kill anything that even looks like it could move...

I wish there was a way to help you but shit is as it is.. Hackers are gonna hack and all that. Not much help except for you're passing knowledge about the guy's name. Another thing, since when has a hero had 22k blood? Granted I haven't played vanilla DayZ mod or much of the Namalsk but I have never heard of a skin giving extra blood. Needless to say the guy's full of shit and likely a hacker.

Neh, Don't feel bad, but also don't be shooting everyone just because they don't respond. My mic doesn't work with the Arma DC system so I type, and I'm like the friendliest guy on DayZ, unless you're a bandit.

First off, understand zeroing. If their about 300 meters away, zero to 300 and aim with dead center of cross hairs, if their further than 300 yet not 400 aim slightly higher to give leave to bullet drop, if their running, move the sights slightly infront of the direction they are running. Second, shoot then move. If you stay in one place for too long expect someone like me behind you with a doublebarrel shotgun with pellets loaded happy to shoot you, leave your gear and hide your body. Yeah, they are. I was in Elecktro, just healing up people and killing bandit skins when some kid shot at me with his winchester, I told him to either fix his aim or stop shooting before I started firing back with my M9, he hit me once with his revolver after roughly a clip of winchester missed me, I hit him 3 times and he turned to run, got about 10 feet before I put enough into him that he lost his legs. I walked up to him and he was yelling at me over direct chat calling me numerous racial and homophobic slurs before I put him down and hid his body. Needless to say he was about 14 or 15, if a kid talks to me I'm happy to lend him a helping hand and even a tip or two. But if he tries to kill me I show him how to really PvP in Arma2. If I met you in game I would give you the benefit of the doubt even though the majority of young teens I meet are straight out of COD, looking to light me and my blood bags up.

I have the same problem and can't talk in side or direct. So I just use Teamspeak 3 and only talk with those people. I just avoid other players I don't know, unless their a bandit, good hunting ;)

Nope, plus have you seen the vanilla Arma 2 AI? I would not trust something that thick "protecting" me. I say no to any AI and currency is what you make it.

I hunt bandits, if I kill them, good, if they out sport me, good game.

DayZ, well, there's still an occasional hacker, there's more PvP then there are people, and DayZ has a far larger game world. In my opinion, wait until Stand Alone of DayZ. I only say that because I already owned CO when DayZ became big so I never felt like I was spending money on DayZ.

I know you've probably been here for awhile. But the limits Arma 2 sets on DayZ alpha makes it just not possibly. Wait for Standalone for more than just "PvP for the best gear or for the lulz".
