How do you check to make sure the server has updated to the latest hive version?

You just don't get it. All the people are saying it's an alpha say it for a reason. Alpha is for adding features, not balance and making this game you apparently paid hard earned money for up to your expectations "ASAP" lol. Beta is where most bugs and exploits go bye bye. The trouble is not with people being irked and giving feedback to help the testing process. It's with the entitled, immature legions of whiny brats that don't have a shred of tact screaming bloody murder and bashing the team, in some cases downright being abusive towards the people that are working AS HARD AS THEY CAN TO MAKE THE GAME BETTER. If you can't see the difference between helpful and constructive criticism as part of the alpha process versus typical spoiled PC gamer pissing and moaning and often even abuse, then you're not as smart as you think you are. Remember, most alpha tests are closed to the public. Yet we're lucky enough to be doing it, and it's FREE ffs.

So I have been hanging on to these antibiotics, just wondering if anyone out there needs them and has something rare to trade for em. Skip the smartass bullet in the head responses, other people have beaten you to it so many times.

I agree completely. Either play and contribute to the testing process, or stop playing til it's not a crude base version of a game. Either way, the whining on the forum is completely absurd.

Well that sounds a bit overboard, I can't think of many places that have to contend with every single natural disaster known to man. Certainly not in Russia.

Yeah, getting killed by hoppers is annoying, but it's one of those things we must deal with if we want to participate in the alpha testing process. If you're unable to deal with that, then you should quit. Step back and wait for the game to be further along in it's development, and things are in place to prevent these exploits. But you cannot expect people to care, as we all deal with the same shit but keep playing because we understand that we are testers and not paying customers.

Nah the most recent patch brought it back, I was so stoked about having it too! I had never seen a pair of Nvgs that weren't on some server hopping combat logger, or an L85 in over 400 hrs in DayZ. Last night I find 2 pairs of Nvgs AND an L85, love the thermal. I knew it wouldn't last lol...

UPDATE : I just scored some nvgs off a tent. I'd be willing to trade an m14, AS50, m4, or the antibiotics for a ghillie since the tent I stashed mine in seems to be inaccessible.

Nvm, I found nvgs FINALLY lol. Anyways, I'd still be willing to trade the meds for a ghillie outfit, since my tent is apparently inaccessible.

Hey guys, dunno how your antibiotic supply is but I am currently looking to trade some for nvgs or perhaps some other rare item. Just shoot me a pm if you need them.

Tempting, but I gotta pass on that one. Doc, I'm really just looking for any rare weapons I might find useful, nvgs, ghillie, etc. I have about 400hrs in, and I've been through probably 60 crash sites and the only nvgs I've seen have been on barracks hoppers that d/c the second I fire at them or they see me. I realize most people wouldn't want to trade nvgs for antibiotics, but some people have a lot of them stockpiled and may need the meds.

I usually last 8-12 days.

So I have seen plenty of people with the same issues with desynch when equipping ghillies/ camo, but some say that they are able to equip them and play normally on certain servers. So I suppose what I'm asking is for those of you playing in your glorious ghillies, what servers seem to be working? I have had this suit burning a hole in my pack for a week now, it's driving me nuts!!! Thanks in advance.

Welp, I suppose I'll get to my tent and find out. Thanks for the answers guys. Priceline- I did make mention of that in my initial post, but was certain that my main servers had to have updated.
