Well people could still just join another server and bandage themselves quickly but the idea is good. I would say that you should insta-die when you log out while you're bleeding.

If you can run Arma 2 and Operation Arrowhead you also should be able to run DayZ. So yes.

The bad thing about the 10 secs waiting time would be if you get attacked by a player or zombie while logging out. A pain to the ass cause you are busy with logging out and not watching noobs running around...

I really don't recommmd using a flashlight! It will attract all players nearby! What I do when I'm forced to play at a night time server is, set the brightness and gamma in the menu as high as possible. You can only see white and black now but at least you can see something and don't have to use your flashlight.

Derp there are also electric ones >.< And there can't be an infinite amount of some fluid...

Hmm I only know that you can activate the flashlight with "L", but it is sometimes buggy. I have sometimes trouble with activating the flashlight. Also a flashlight in the night in the middle of a town is no good idea, but I think you already know that...

So what do you want to complain or discuss about? And trusting someone is a fault you shouldn't make. Only rely on others and trust them if you both have no weapons or only hatches. Even when you trust someone unarmed it can be a fault. I've readt posts from some guys that work together with others for hours until they get a gun and then they backstab their partners...

Don't loot piles despawn after some time? I think the only safe way to store your items, besides storing them in your inventory or backpack, is storing them in tent you find and playe somewhere. Still everybody can access your tent and steal your stuff.

A lighter needs electric power or something else to power it...

Happens to me sometimes as well. That made me camp a supermarket and join different servers, cause everytime I lost the Alice Pack, the Winchester and my revolver... Then later the same day it worked fine. Well now I have instead a revolver a makarov, but instead of a winchester a M1014....

So I just checked the northern supermarket and the appartments nearby in Berezino. Then I went south to the other supermarket and the hospital. After I looted both I went into an appartment, lay down on the second floor to log off, when I suddenly hear something. I recognized it's a player using VOIP. I thougt "Great my first noob to kill!" I was looking for his friend cause I don't know why the heck he would use VOIP if he isn't playing together with someone else. Then the noise became louder and I heard a scary laughing. I was looking outside the window and saw a psychopath wearing a Ghillie suit and a sniper rifle. I tried to get a good shot on him and then he suddenly turned around and kept on laughing. I just seeing him aiming at me and laughing jumped around the corner and lay down again. And then I did a noob move and logged off. Well I don't do that normally but I don't wanna die because of a hacker. Well so there you have a story and a hacker report. I won't be able to play on this server for the next days cause idk if this guy will teleport himself right next to me again... Oh and I know that he teleported himself cause I was watching the whole town for like 15 minutes form the roof of an appartment and later for a minute from the hospital roof... EDIT: Oh and two more things. It was night time and he had no nameplate though nameplates were enabled on the server.

You've been lucky for getting back on the map. Many who spawn in the debug area can only leave it by killing themselves cause it would take hours to run back to the actuall map...

That's how I like my hackers. Doing stupid shit, spawning things and chasing you with an axe and not just sniping everyone who spawns :D

Uhh... There are many password protected and private servers...

You will die. Maybe you can get in a hangar and get some cool stuff, but when you get our you gonna get sniped...

Weapons is a tricky thing. In the beginning you don't find a single one and later you find shit tons of crossbows and Lee Enfields...

For that you first need a knife, a hatchet and a box of matches. I've never found any matches yet!

Maybe you could make some kind of sign or something similar as an item. So you can give it a low spawnrate and we don't have the problem of kiddies spamming the whole map.

Maybe someone sniped you...
