It's hard to believe this sin't a troll post, but on the off chance it isn't. Yes, you combat logged. however you will have lost your life, so take it as a lesson and remember to remain calm and either fight or talk next time.

If I have weapons, I will relocate and try to locate the attackers. If there like 2 of em I will probably try and pick them off. 3 or more I would make my escape or hole up somewhere I know I can at least take out one of em before I bite the dust. If I'm traveling I might just ignore them and run through

Neutral safe zones that physically prevent combat

This whole thread can be solved without further banter. OP go and make a poll, 2 options. 1 - Should there be safe zones in Dayz 2 - There should be no safe zones in Dayz Nuff said -
Neutral safe zones that physically prevent combat

Lol, really? Logic, extrapolate, empirical. Three words you need to look up in the dictionary. I really can't help more than that. Edit: add analogy to the list. -

Bahahah, do you even know what empirical evidence is? Clearly not. -

Absolutely not. Nothing is safe in the zombie apocalypse. -

The current implementation of the logout timer is trollish.

I think 30 secomds is too short. tweak it up a bit. -
A zombie? you must be in the wrong forums, no zombies in dayz ;)

I didn't read the whole post, but I like the cut of your jib. I had thought something like this would be cool to do. maybe once the game is further down the track, something like this will get organised, at least at the server level and maybe a Mod in the future once the game is moddable.

I wouldn't be adverse to it being fixed. Definately want to play in third person mode for general play, first person for shoot outs. No idea what the solutions are but if they work go for it!

Color degradation from blood loss has to go (loss of visual fidelity)

One of the best times I ever had in Dayz was aided a lot by this. After probably a few zombie encounters and I think being shot once, I was at the very edge of conciousness, Black and white screen, with the puklsating blur of my heartbeat making things worse. Fainting every now and then as well to make things worse. I remember I was at Factory near berezino and had a knife so I ran around the jungle looking for a pig, seeing that it was safer to pass out in the jungle than in town looking for beans. It took me hours, I think I finished off one night, then restarted the search the next day even. Eventually found a pig or two, actually I think I lucked out on a cow, I started stumbling around trying to find my way to berezino as I didn't have matches, and figured to cook the meat at the barrels near the military camp or hospital there. I did have a compass, but it was really really hard to read with the blurred vision, but I thought I could make out north, although I wasn't entirely sure. Stumbled across the plain, hoping it was the one near berezino and my north point was correct, and came across one of the deer stands. so I breathed a sigh of relief knowing I was not far away from the camp. Slowly felt my way there, very painfully, prone most of the time as I couldn't afford do aggro any zombies. Eventually found the barrel, and the joy was with me, knowing I had started the mission to live more than four hours game time before. Cooked the meat and chowed down, the colour, oh the colour was the best thing I had ever seen. I was home, I had lived through probably the hardest time and fought to stay alive for so long by the tiniest thread. HOORAY, I live!!! Started running away back toward the deer hut and CRACK CRACK CRACK. YOU ARE DEAD! Shot by a sniper from across the fields...... -
What you had were side effects, not withdrawals.

I think either your enter button or space bar isn't working, possibly both. Also your full stop key.

Rolling Update Rev. 0.30.114008

Y'all on holidays. Comon you just made millions, get back to work!!! -
Find some medic Kits and use them to store stuff in, just keep one set of bandages handy. Med kits use 4 spaces and hold 6 items. You can also get those lock boxes which I assume will keep things dry if and when that becomes a problem in the game, I think they also hold 6 items and only use 4 slots? can't remember.

Ahh well, if you haven't played before, there isn't a lot to play for at the moment. Once the game is finished, there will be more to do. For me the reason I played a lot as a solo player, was when you get to know the regulars on the server and get a rivalry going. Some people I met along the way, I ended up meeting up with in game regularly and going on differen't shenanigans and missions. Revenge is sweet. You will get killed from time to time, no matter how carefull you are, and when you play as a regular hunting down the Bandits and griefers that did you wrong, finding their hangouts and camps and haunting them is a pretty fun thing to do. At the moment, in the SA game there really isn't much to do at all, I would just pop in from time to time, check out the new developements and try and gear up and die in some spectacular way before logging out untill the next patches. In a way, new players that didn't experience the original dayz mod will be ruining their experience by playing the game at this time. It is nothing like what the original mod of arma was yet, not even in the slightest. In fact, if you haven't played the original mod, you might be better off trying that out untill this game is much further down the developement track. Peace out Sprucey
