I think showing the bans is a blessing and a curse at the same time. On one side, sure it's showing that they are actually banning people. On the other side, it is going to show how rampant the hacking is which could scare people off.

I'm not sure if this is what you're asking..... but if you have a tent in your inventory it will stay in your inventory just like anything else when you change servers. When you pitch the tent, the tent will only be on the server you pitched it on.

can you guys not f'ing read? the standalone and the mod will be developed in conjunction. They will be using the mod as a testing ground for features for the standalone. Rocket was on a live stream last week and he talked about the pending update and that there were features (like dogs) that were working that he wanted to add to the next update. This is why the update was changed from 1.7.2.5 to 1.7.3 and why its taking so long.

I doubt that. The parallel development is for features. Kind of like what valve has done with TF and CS. They will implement and test features in dayz mod to see how it goes and whether they want to put it into the stand alone.

I don't think it has anything to do with a lack of caring or that there is a standalone coming. The reality of the situation regarding hacking is that there is very little that can be done about it due to the engine. The engine was designed to be very modable (hence one of the reasons why even have this mod) and the way they went about it unforunately easily allows it to be hacked. Battleye can detect the hacks that are distributed to the masses but there are plenty of hackers out there writing their own which are left undetected. Sadly the only way to really solve this would be a major change to the engine. In the mean time we're all kind of screwed and it sucks. I just hope bohemia has made the changes needed.
