  1. The impression I have is that the hotfixes have inadvertently buffed zombie detection (or nerfed players stealth abilities). While playing yesterday, I found that all movement was generating much more sound. Somewhere between 2-4 bars where such movement normally capped out at 2. Additionally, I noticed this last night, a friend was raiding a deer stand and I was providing cover. Once he climbed down, he pulled three zombies in the area. All three of these zombies I had already noticed, and they were well beyond a threatening range. The tweet relating the dev's intention to change this- I imagine this is aggravating breaking LOS. A player will succeed at breaking a zed's LOS, but the amount of noise being generated as such a close range will on reaggro it. With taht being said, it seems like they're making intentional adjustments to this and similar tactics anyway. They patched in Zed's searching the last known location, so we will see how that pans out.

It's not a problem. I hope your issues get resolved and you can get back to playing.

Goombaa, Two things. First, I believe you're in the wrong area. From the Main Forum there is Support -> Troubleshooting or Support -> Bug Reports. Either location is more appropriate for the subject matter. Second, I believe there are established forum topics concerning this, make sure to utilize the power of the 'Search' button at the top of the screen. Here is a thread with a video and walkthrough concerning fixing invisibility- http://dayzmod.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=13846 I experienced this problem as well. The solution I found, which is not emphasized in that thread, is to make sure that have installed and are running the .exe for the arma2 beta. Instructions for beta install are here- http://dayzmod.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=12810 Apparently, one of the recent patches (1.7.1, I think) requires the beta patch, but you can still connect to servers w/o you having installed the patch. Playing a server running the beta patch while you're not using it can cause invisibility. Hope that helps. edit: edited link descriptions for clarity.
  4. There certainly is a learning curve to the new zed aggro, and Gusmanak's video is one more option to add to the toolkit. I spent most of my playtime around Kamenka and one of the tricks I learned, as other posters have noted, is kiting zeds to buildings with multiple entrances, and then slinking out another exit. I had a harder time losing them in the wilds, and typically had to rely on breaking LOS by slowing their ascent on a hill. I noticed two things I wanted to bring up, both related to dealing with hordes. The first is that by normally ducking and weaving, it seems like the number of pursuing zeds quickly fell off from the chase. Secondly, while the new attack range allows them to more reliably hit you if you're roadie running, that still seems to be the best stance in order to not aggravate more zeds while you're fleeing. Thanks for the video tip, Gusmanak!
