    In all fairness, as Lee has just said, hardware problems will occur, they are unavoidable, I have 2 servers with vilayer, and am more than happy with them, and the support in teamspeak and would recommend vilayer to anyone who wants a dayz server.

    You're server IS running the 95312 build, as are all vilayer server, go to the config editor (server.cfg), and chage the following options (which will also change you're server name btw) Under general settings change : Enforce beta version - 95310 (or you can leave it at 95248, as i have, also 95310 is the latest client side patch, 312 was server only) And under host settings change : Arma 2 version - 95310 (this is the setting that changes the version in you're server host name.

    Unfortunately you are correct, battle eye is very easy to bypass, and about 90% of hacks wont even be recorded.

    That may be the result of a hack that occured yesterday, every player was given coyote backpacks, as50's, nv goggles etc, all i can do is ask you not to use the items if you think they are not legit, however if you choose to use them, there will be no kicks or bans as you were not responsible for the hack.

    We're seeing the same problem on LU15, new tents that have gear put in them save fine, but after a restart, the gear vanishes, and old tents, things just dupe.

    Thanks for the report, unfortunately we can find no evidence in the log file of the hack used, likely the hackers used one of the many battle eye bypass programs, all i can do is encourage the players to report hackers to me, either via the forum, or by direct email.

    4 times ive been kicked now, it these goons that give the "proper" admins a bad name.

    Just logged in and experienced this myself, the admin is clearly kicking non clan members after a server restart, probably to get to fresh loot spawns, blacklist pls.

    Alright lads calm down :-) to the OP as stated above, you cannot change the slot limit directly, contact lee or ian @ vilayer to increase / decrease the slot count, and side chat is diabled at the request of the developers.     These may just be coincidental, but if you believe you were the victim of admin abuse, name and shame the server, and post any proof you might have, not all admins are abusing, and the few that are are making life pretty dificult for those who are completely legit, i like the blacklist idea mentioned above.

    How does that make him not suitable to be an admin? please expand on that, i'm intrigued, they guy pays for a server out of his own money, and deserves at least some respect from players, noone deserves to be sworn at, regardless of who they are.

    Hmm well LU15 was 1 of the first to be patched by vilayer and it's been running fine since 4am, no one stuck at loading, no kit missing, good job to them i say, and for the people that moan about a "forced update" they are required to do this, or they get blacklisted, simple as that, go yell at the devs that made that rule, not Vilayer :-)

    LU15 is awaiting the update to the latest version, seeing as 90% of clients already have the new update, and would not be able to join the server i have shut down the server until the update has been applied by Vilayer, this should be done within the next 12 hours.

    Whilst i am just as annoyed as the rest of you that my server has not been updated, try not to be so harsh with Vilayer, i spoke with the devs this evening, and from what theyve said, six updater should NOT have rolled out the update just yet, it was too early, Vilayer force an update on us only AFTER recieving the go ahead from Dayz devs, as for the lack of support, that is unusual, Vilayer are normally pretty good, i'll be giving them the benefit of the doubt on this.

    from what i've seen the logs will show an x,y co-ordinate when the player logs in, but as mentioned, that x,y co-ordinate is totally different to a dayz map grid reference, pretty useless info for trying to locate players / vehicles.
