The spawn rate is fucked, i was just at a deer stand, started killing 2 military and 1 police zombie, killed them then another 3 re-spawned straight away right in front of my face, i killed them then that was it, but you only see 3 zombies max at deer stands for starters, and this had 6.

Oh ok cheers guys, i might stick around that empty barn or deer stand next time and see if anything re-spawns

How long does it take for loot to re-spawn? i am tired of going to empty deer stands, or empty houses

Karma does suck, i was killing people earlier, got a really nice set, went far north for like 6 hours, went to some castle. and fell off a set of stairs with zombies chasing me, i died =(

I think the height you fall to break bones is quite sad, i fell 1 meter the other day, if that and i broke my legs, today i somehow manage to walk through a railing and fall of some stairs, how the f**k did i walk through a railing? it was like it didn't even exist, i had decent gear, m16 with 4 magz and a lot of other stuff. In the end i wasted all my ammo then re spawned as i was not crawling for 3 hours just to get to the nearest town. Morphine is very hard to come across and i haven't seen anything in quite a few days.

I was killing ppl in cherno, was up to 8 murders, i was laying down behind a wall for a little, i decided to pop my head up and straight away, boom headshot, it scared the fuck out of me, not even 2 seconds after i popped my head up, i don't even know where it came from.

I had the same problem when i started a week ago, no patience, all i did was run into town look for loot and get 50 zombies chasing me until i die, i now manage 2 last a few hours and find decent loot.

What do the red and yellow chains mean when there on your screen in the bottom right hand corner? i see this a fair bit and i got no clue what it means as it changes colours. Also how long does it take for loot 2 start respawning?

Oh cheers, i only see it when i log in, and maybe once every few days while i am playing, was watching a stream earlier and the guy had red and yellow chains on his screen a lot so i thought i would ask. About the 2nd question can anyone answer that?

Nice dude, i have only just started playing this game and don't travel inland much, but i might have to start doing so :P

Alright guys what the fudge is going on here, i was deadset about 100 meters down a hill, the zombies that chased me were about 100 meters down the opposite side of the hill, probably even further. How do they spot me? it's not possible, they can see right through the hill, either that or they turned into a giant and looked over it. I had them chase me for 10+ minutes, i did everything possible 2 lose them, zig zaged around trees, ran up and down hills, in the end i ended up leaving the server and rejoining simply because i could not get them off my tail. This is not the first time today this has happened, i had 3 zombies on me earlier for at least 25 minutes, in the end i killed myself because i no longer wanted 2 keep running. I surely know i do not want to crawl around the map, because atm this is the only option, anything else you do seems to attracts zombies from who knows, earlier today i was crawling next to a house, next thing you know a zombie comes charging out of the wall and starts bum raping me, they run through all objects, nothing seems to stop them. We need to be able to outrun them or they either stop chasing you after a certain distance. What do you guys think?

Well i was friendly, but everybody has been shooting me as they see me, so now im shooting everybody when i see them.

I just had a zombie charge out a house wall and start hitting me, it was not even possible 2 see me, nor were any other zombies around me, this 1 zombie just comes charging though a wall and starts belting me.

How do you expect newcomers to play this game? We start with a flashlight, bandage and painkillers, none of us even know the map, we cannot find items if our life depends on it, i might find a barn here and there, i sneak inside 2 find nothing but empty soda cans then on my way out get chased by a shitload of zombies and die. So what are we suppose to do? we are still learning the game yet we can't find a gun and where just walking around until we die because we can't do anything. Anyone out there kind enough to give us noobies some tips on what to do. Thanks

Bump can anyone answer that last question? I ended up getting a weapon, made some zombies mad, climbed a 100 meter ladder while bleeding out, get to the top bandage myself, to find out they all followed me up the ladder. Whats the go, since when can zombies climb ladders? i climbed a few yesterday while i had them chasing me and none of them followed me up, why did i get followed up that ladder? Another question, once something has been looted does new items respawn there a certain time later or is that it, once it's looted nothing will respawn back there?

Thanks guys, i like how the game is hard to play but noobies do need a tutorial or some help. Can you find items out in the wilderness like on the ground or only in towns etc? Any other info you would like to tell me please do so, im having difficulty playing this, still havent found a weapon.

Alright guys i am having trouble getting DayZ to work, i have installed ARMA 2 and ARMA 2 OA, i installed six updater, now when i go to try join a game, servers either full, the version number is wrong meaning i got and outdated version and i have only just downloaded all of this today? or i get deleted.cheranus error, what am i doing wrong? if someone could be kindly enough to list the steps of what i had to do that would be greatly appreciated as i have been using google for nearly 6 hours now looking for help and still haven't found anything useful. I just want to be able to play DayZ mod, nobody should have to go through this much trouble trying to get a game to work, i am starting to rip the hair off my head.
