I've come back to DayZ the past week, and realised how bad it's gotten now. For the past 4 days, I've been killed by someone in a British Army Uniform (not in DayZ afaik?), after them teleporting to me, while being invincible (ie, 5 axes to the face / 30 rounds of AKM does nothing), atleast once a day. I've been killed by being dropped from the sky, or into the ocean 5 times. I've come across fields littered with boats. And the number of times I've found people with AS50 TWS or medboxes full of every single weapon in Arma is countless. Practically every server is filled with hackers who teleport around, or sit on the hills next to Elektro and Cherno, all in Ghilli suits, all with AS50 TWS, all with silenced M9's, all with NVG's, all with mountain dew, all with a vehicle somewhere nearby. Not to mention those that sit on roofs in Elektro/Cherno with endless supplies of HE M203 rounds, destroying every building they can. It's sad that it's in this state now, as it's been made literally impossible for our group to get any enjoyment out of it. I realise it's Alpha and, every game get's hacked, but in DayZ it's not comparable to being killed by an aimbotter in CS, so it'll kill DayZ way faster. Whinge/rant over, any heavily-admin'd servers out there that constantly have someone on?

Hackers be goin crazy today. People flying around the map with noclip and infinite ammo on two seperate servers. On one server they were spawning cars inside buildings at cherno.

I've never heard of that term and would hate to be banned for something I didn't mean to do. Because it's not on the loot sheet. M107 is ingame, m107 with infrared isn't. It's hacked.

Regardless of whether what some people say is true, if they are goons or whoever you believe them to be, I'm sure it's not all of them that cheat. That's if it's even true. Having a link to a forum is not proof by the way, so stop telling yourself it is. If what you say is true I'm sure Rocket knows it and would have publicly blacklisted them honestly, so until he does, stop acting as if you know everything and have all the facts. At the end of the day, they're spending cash on a box they can't use because Rocket isn't replying to them, which is wrong. Simple as. I should add, I've never played with Legion or whatever, I've just read this thread, so my opinion isn't biased or backed with emotions over a computer game.

I actually felt pretty bad about this. There was no action in cherno, I'd been sitting on a roof for 45 minutes and saw no one. So I tried to bait. Asking if any friendlies were near. Mark replied and said he was at prigoroki and that I could go and join him, I asked if he could come to me but no reply. 10 minutes later I say "Mark are you there? I'm near prigoroki I think at a construction site" (I was acting a noob, the construction site is on the outskirts of cherno). I said things like "I'm low blood though I got shot trying to leave to come to you, I keep passing out" "omg i passed out again", eventually he agrees to come and help me and starts making his way over, 15 minutes later he says hes near and asks where I am, I say I'm on the roof (so he has to go up and I can get an easy shot), he asks me to meet him by the big yellow crane thats 50m away, obviously this is bad because he's going to be on the hill behind the construction site scoping it out, and hes obviously cautious of the bait, while I'm sitting on a roof 200m or so away looking at the construction site. "omg i fell down trying to get on the ladder and now my legs are fuckin broke and i got no morphine mark" :) After another 5 minutes of me talking in chat like a noob and him blatently sitting on the hill trying to see if theres anyone waiting for him, he runs into the construction site and goes to the third floor, me and a friend almost have a shot but he conveniently stops behind a concrete pillar to type and asks "are you on ladder?" I assume he's asking if I'm on the roof, I can see the ladder clearly so I say "yea I'm upstairs but i keep passin out omg fuck this game". He moves over to the ladder and crouches, trying to get the ladder to pop on his scroll menu. POW, one bullet to the head. I felt really bad, as this guy had just ran from prig to cherno to save a supposed noob that needed blood, and spent probably 30 minutes running here and scoping it out. But, I worked harder for that kill than any other. On the brightside atleast he won't fall for it again. Sorry Mark.

This is the exact reason I only snipe now and don't bother with close range fighting. Either it'll lag out and I'll put a clip in their head and then I'll suddenly keel over and die 30 seconds later, or I'll put a clip in their head, they'll turn around and shoot me in the face, and we'll both die, because of the lag delay. Lesson to be learnt? Snipe.

No. Then you could literally live forever. It's already too easy to kill zombies just by sidestepping and shooting because of the way the civilian AI works in Arma, and I highly doubt that is going to change. Simply put, if you want melee weapons then play Left 4 Dead or Dead Island. There's no place for melee weapons in this mod, and you do understand that Arma doesn't have melee weapons, so if it were implemented it would be horribly clunky.

He is? Go figure. I used to play Operation Flashpoint with him. I saw his youtube videos a while ago and the mission looked pretty freaky.

As I said in my last post, we're not a clan, just a group of friends having fun, I've known two of my group for years. And we're currently at 5 or 6 but with Diablo 3 here we could now use some more activity. We play anywhere from 12pm gmt to 2am gmt. Two Englishman, a Welshman, a Norwegian, a dutchman, and a finlander. We're all 20+ I think. So if you need people to play with, enjoy banter, killing everyone you see, teamwork and working towards choppers and a fleet of buses, pm me.

So, you knew why you couldn't connect to any of these servers and knew you were banned. But you kept playing regardless and never thought to come to the forums to seek help straight away? Smells like bullshit. It really just sounds like you were caught red handed, thought "oh shit that was dumb", carried on trying to play on the few servers you could, got frustrated not being able to play with your friends, and had read or been told about all these idiots on the forums complaining "OMG WHAT IF I PIK UP DIS HACKERS GUN I GET BAND FOR IT HOW AM I SPOZE TO KNOW IT WAS HACKED" and thought you'd try your luck with the same excuse. Not buying it. Ontop of that, if you really thought someone carrying heli-mounted weapons in their backpack in the middle of the capital city was legit then you deserve the ban for stupidity alone. But we both know you're not really that stupid, don't we.

Honestly I'd rather experience that than rocket turning found and saying "okay I'm turning this into a closed alpha as the hive server can't handle this" as would probably be a smart decision. Atleast I get to play!

I've been searching for the dirtbikes and quadbikes too, no luck yet. I have no idea where they spawn. If anyone could enlighten me here or via PM I'd appreciate it.

DMR wins handsown. M16A4 (or is it A2?) with ACOG is a nice choice aswell. Currently have an M24 which is nice but I can't use my NVGs with it so I'm a bit disappointed. I stay away from close quarters weapons as every time I've gotten into a close quarter fight it's a lagfest. I fill them with a clip, they turn round and shoot me once, we both fall over and die, not very fun. Rather sit back and choose my shots.

I only play in the North and I always see people. Generally I roam NW Airfield, green mountain, devils castle, NE airfield, stary, vybore and all the surrounding towns. When I respawn I always go straight north unless I spawn at Balota, then I make a quick stop at the airfield. It's feasible to run straight to the NW airfield with starter provisions without ever stopping but usually I hit a town or two to build up my compass etc and get a new bag. Always people up north, and it's way more fun than being on the coast.

It is too dark at night, moonless nights it's practically unplayable without nvg's or running around with a flare (would you do that in a zombie apocalypse?) or holding a chemlight (completely ruins immersion for me, glowing bright green while creeping through a town, I think not) It's not realistic, far darker than any night in real life.

Ive actually lived in the north for the last 2 weeks. Died once due to logging in on top of a survivor group. Two weeks you say? I'm considering playing on a 200 ping just to see if I can end that streak :angel:

Twice now I've made a 20 minute run to the NE airfield, for the server to restart, then I get back in and I'm back where I started. Different servers. Is there a problem with the DB?
