Well.. Not really, but as many of you might know Chernarus is based of an area of the Czech Republic. Bohemia made Arma 2. This isnt Arma 2 anymore. You cant say that just because Bohemia wanted it in arma, it has to be in DayZ if it isnt balanced. Its like saying Halflife had a crowbar, so Counterstrike should have it, because Valve wanted it to be like that.

Turn Off Passive Humanity Increase

This might be a bit off-topic, but still relevant imo. In my opinion the humanity-thing is a fun mechanic. The problem I have (had?) with it was the bugs in the transition between bandit and normal. I hear people saying that is fixed now. Another thing that is worth to bring up for debate is should not killing people be a viable option? Running and hiding from a sniper is possible. Its hard, yes, but possible. But the second you get in close quarters with someone you have to defend yourself, and there is a chance you will become a bandit if you come out alive, even if you just defend yourself. Would a possible solution be to add a "stun" weapon? Like a teizer, with short range, that doesnt kill the target, but rather knocks him unconscious for a minute to let the other guy run away? That way the pacifist can get out of a tight situation without loosing humanity. No idea if this is a good idea, but it does bring an option to the table for those whos really afraid of becoming a bandit. -

Well... The meaning of it is to show you if your connection is failing. It shows your desync from the server. You might look at it like packet loss. From what I can gather the numbers are something like this: Yellow chain = 5000 - 19 000 Red chain = 20 000 - 100 000 Broken red chain = >100 000 or no connection to the server. For your desync numbers' date=' go to the map, chose players and find yourself. Another source sais "When the server is unable to send you packets of data within a ping (usually about 100ms or so), you experience yellow-chain packet delay; when the server is unable to send you packets of data, period (ie. they get lost in translation or are interrupted), you experience red-chain packet loss." Something else that is important to note is that the newest patch to arma2 made it so you would get a chain whenever someone joined a running game. It doesnt mean that its your internet connection that is crap. Different sights. CCO RCO PSO -
Not entirely sure about this, but if you enter the chopper you can see in top left the status of the different parts. You would want them all to be green.

I like the feeling that I can wonder around for hour after hour without meeting anyone, but still having that nagging feeling that if I do I have to be ready for it. It keeps me on the edge, and applies to the horror aspect of the game for me. If there were more players it would be impossible to go to any of the towns. You would be shot. The feeling when I enter Stary Sobor, or any other town, after spending 15 min looking out over the city to make sure its safe is thrilling. Many more players will make it more a slugfest. No way you can survive on your own and still get some decent gear. Sniper overwatch when entering any city will be even more of a must. The feeling of being alone. Vulnerable. In a huge landscape. That is what makes this game for me. -

Im one of those who have owned the game for a good while now, and Im glad to see the arma community grow. This mod is for sure something special and in my Arma group there is a lot of people who has taken to playing it together. I just wanna say to the people who have just bought arma, check out what the rest of the game has to offer. Check out clans and groups that play it like a MilSim, or close-to-milsim and give that part a shot as well. Watch a film or two on youtube and if you like what you see there, join up. You'll not only find lots of tactical fun, but you'll also find people you can play DayZ with! -
