I've already loaded it, installed it, and got the steam program line thing copy and pasted in. Same 3 results: Kicked out immediately, I'm in but invisible, empty world with just me. At this point any suggestion given has been something I have already tried. If I get a new suggestion I'll install everything back on and give it a shot. If not I'll just wait till things smooth out.

I finally got on but still invisible and now the entire world is empty. I uninstalled everything because it really is a lot of space for something unplayable. I'll try it again in Oct.

I've done every little detail I have been instructed either by forums or videos. I think with this new patch that came out it was just a bad time to join. I'm gonna just uninstall everything and try again maybe after I get out of Basic.

Well it WAS pretty funny to loot someone elses kill right as he did it. I picked it clean and left an empty can before he got to his kill. Thank you for letting me know which one. I will work on it after I eat.

1. I'm invisible - I can loot but not be seen by survivors or zombies which defeats the purpose of this game. I'm told Beta Patches and I get linked to about 40 of them. Which one? All of them? I downloaded the very last one but then get this error. "The version of ArmA2 OA (1.60) is more recent than this patch version (1.58)" It quits after that. 2. I am ten feet tall - I am easily so tall that a persons head is at my chest. I can literally walk up to a zombie and would have to aim down to get a headshot if I had a gun and ammo. My head goes through door frames and my head reaches the ceiling. 3. Random kicks as soon as I join - like 50% of the time. I would think a server would want people on. 4. My name is "Owner" and not my steam name. Edit: Ok...so loaded up the patch and installed it so that's done....but now I can't get on ANY server. I get one of the following two errors: 1. "You can not play/edit this mission; it is dependent on downloadable content that has been deleted.chernarus. 2. Bad version, server rejected connection. It's getting to the point I am thinking of dropping this entirely which is upsetting cause all the videos on youtube got me really pumped up for this and now I can't even get it to work. Hopefully an answer will fix this.

I have to install ALL of these? I just got this game yesterday and was having the same issue....but now I'm starting to worry just how many hoops I'm going to have to jump through before I can even play.

I just started too and not sure if I installed wrong or what but my first issue was there was nothing around....no survivors or zombies. The 2nd time I jumped on I finally found survivors and zombies but it was like I was on spectator mode or something because everything ignored me. Hell I ran straight up to a zombie and it just walks right by me. I also noticed two more things. I'm extremely tall...my eye level is taller than the door frame and I can't seem to get into 3rd person. Also my name is always Owner and not my steam name. I'm not making rooms....I'm joining them.

I decided to just go ahead and get it now instead of waiting till after I get out of Basic. Coming on here answered a few questions I had (like why am I defenseless) but I had some questions too. Being defenseless at the start is ok with me since I am patient and don't mind crawling or moving slowly for long periods of time....but I found that it didn;t really matter because any survivor I saw was just standing there doing nothing and I didn't see a single zombie. I starting running everywhere in hopes I'd attract something and die. Not sure if that was part of the recent patch to remove all the zombies too.
