what's the point of playing at night, when everybody can crank up brightness, hdr and contrast that with a moon or clear sky is like playing at dawn and with no moon is still like having nvgs? Zombie rarely aggro, so it's easier in the end. It would be better if torchlights, flares and chem light actually had a use, but right now they are pointless. Of course he was an hacker and whoever say otherwise probably uses the same cheats to cover their own asses. It would take long time to get that kind of gear legitimately, as50 is fucking rare so the rest of the shit like range finder and gps.... The number of active players is half of what it was months ago, but for whatever reason the number of cheater and hackers is the same of before if not more. God i know it because i play often and this game mod has been run into the ground by them and the ineptitude of shitty battleye. Don't you realize that the same day there is a wave of ban from BE you can get the new cheats and hacks for free on the same infamous website? Yes all of them, navigator spawn boxes etc... Just yesterday some punk took over my char, moved me about, took away all the ingame chats while i was trying to tell the admin what the hell was going on, left only the green one (group) so i couldn't communicate, took away all my gear and i mean all, and after a few seconds he instant killed me. No idea what rocket is gonna be able to do with the standalone but don't hold your breath, the engine is the same one and is just not right for this kind of game and typology of players! Open your eyes ffs!

but the icons alone are not enough atm. I have to keep on switching between debug and icons because it happens that when i'm on icons my screen goes black and white at 10000 blood then some other times i still see in colors when i have 5500. So, the accuracy is fucked, don't deny that. At least the one for blood. And going into a pvp situation without knowing exactly your blood count is just suicidal. If i switch between backpack full and gear sometimes items disappear. I had a 249 saw on me and a mp5sd in backpack. Upon switch i lost the 249 cause i didn't know that mp5 was occupying only 8 slots instead of the normal 10. That is just stupid, my char should have dropped the 249 on the floor or something written on screen should have come up saying i couldn't switch cause not enough space in backpack. Something like when you have a primary weapon in slot and you try to switch with the axe. Even tents some patches ago would have spat out all the extra items once full. Now they just vanish. What is more realistic I'm asking! No brainer. I thought you were going for realism Dean, what happened there?

Nice to read something from you in person Rocket! I'm sure your life has changed dramatically, at least the professional one. But yes, you deserve all the attention you get, after all your idea has been nothing less than game industry changing. At least for the mmo survival horror/zombies games, but i suspect it goes further than that. What we missed was the sense of close community we had b4. Meaning you being on the forums at least once a week to tell us what your vision for the future was or even venting to us how hard your coding job was to implement what you had in mind. We are a though crowd, but no doubt but we still respect you and what you are trying to do. And we support you too by keep on loving to play a mod that, I'm afraid to say, has probably reached the end of the line. You can't say that and i understand completely why. But let's face it, arma2 is a very community/modding friendly game that is appropriate for a small community. Since this mod has gone berserk the game has been ruined by cheaters and hacker and there is nothing atm that can be done anymore. More and more people are posting cheats like dayznavigator and such that can be compiled in less than 30 minutes to have all sort of advantages. Tbh I'm still playing the mod but i don't care about updates anymore. I want a very closed up stand alone game now. What the fuck is about the memory readings not being encrypted for example?? A friend of mine made his own exe with which he knows were all vehicles and players are on the map at any given moment. He has to alt tab to check those things, because they don't appear on the ingame map but still, no way to detect him cause he's not injecting or altering anything. He just reads. A few times i played with him, we notice the number of players teleporting themselves or spawning vehicles or weapons was about 35% of any given server. Make the standalone super closed, encrypt memory and fuck the modding chaps if this is the only way to survive. Right now is out of control. I'm sure you know all this already but i still felt the urge to write it down.
