I've found several full maps and one SE map. They're around. What happened to the broken circle crosshair that I've seen in some of the pre-alpha videos? I like that one.

I thought you were going to say you killed an amputee. That's not much to be proud of - good job, though, you stabbed a guy in the back while he was trying to catch some z's ;)

Relax, Rocket's already found the bug and is working to release the hotfix as soon as possible.

Libel! Slander! Lies! A zombie apocalypse is not unrealistic, it just hasn't happened yet. On a for-real note, I don't think this idea holds much ground. If you've got friends who are willing to guard your body long enough for you to get back safe, then they'd be willing to grab your stuff and give it back, or at least trade you for one of their guns if your equipment were flagged. On the other hand, if you get killed and manage to make it back to your unguarded body without it being looted, good on you. Also, flagging equipment with "ownership" tags would allow some clever hacker to find out who's killed who and start wars etc. Though it would be cool to see how many times a weapon has changed hands. It'd be like that "Where's George" site.

KEEP NO GUN. Definitely the best part of the new release, so far as I can tell.

I know you already CAN wire off areas, but it has no affect on you once you log out. Good point about the time consumption, though, burst - that'd get a little tedious building a shelter every time you wanted to log off. I still like the tree idea, though. There's already a few games (GTA is the first one that comes to mind) that you have to be in a specific location in order to save your game. I don't think it would be too much of a hindrance to have to find a tree before you leave. It may not work the greatest while still in Alpha because of server/game instability, but I think it could work eventually. I'd still like to be able to play as a zombie, at least for a short amount of time after I'm killed or infected.

Life/Death Calculator = intrinsic value/culture

This is definitely an excellent and well thought out idea. Nail down the formula and its good to go. However, I do think some of the expansion ideas are pushing a little too far into MMORPG status. It's still a first person shooter, it doesn't really need to go that far. I think just adding this calculator to a server would be enough. -
I've been throwing almost exactly this idea for YEARS, saying someone should make it. My buddy just posted about DayZ on FB and it's very similar to what I wanted. The only major differences.. Firstly, I feel you should have to fortify your area before you can "go to sleep" aka log off. Perhaps by climbing into a tree or fencing off a little area. I realize this could cause issues in the game if everyone who was logged off had a little circle fence, but they don't need to remain there after you actually leave, just have the fence log off with the player and spawn when he/she logs back in. Personally, I like the tree idea the best, but either way. Second - on death you should have the option to play as a zed for a short time. The controls would have to be very limited to represent the brain-dead-ness of zombies (walk, run, braaaaaaains) but I think it would be cool.
