Bears traps? WHYYY? Last night I was playing and half the entrances to buildings were covered with razor wire. Bear traps are the last thing this game needs. It will be exploited like crazy and spammed on every decent loot spawn. I give it another couple of weeks before you cant take two steps inside a city without seeing a maze of razor wire and bear traps. It will have a negative impact on the experience of this amazing game. I just don't see the point. Are bear traps really that common in the zombie apocalypse?

I have not been able to find food either. After multiple, and I mean probably over 15 visits back and forth to the grocery stores at cherno and elektro I am still unable to find any food. The only reason I am still alive is because I found a pack on a body that had multiple cans of beans in it. Also checking pubs in both areas, as well as any other building has turned up nothing. I even went to a server that had maybe 3 people playing on it to make sure other people were not looting those spots before me and still nothing. Is there any known bug that might stop food from spawning. Like the OP I have no issue finding soda or water bottles.

The game lost a lot of it's appeal when the side channel was removed. It is incredibly boring now, and makes me feel like Im playing a single player game. It was a lot of fun to see an entire server working together to survive, and getting into large groups. Now everyone seems terrified of strangers for fear of losing their loot because communication almost ceases to exist for people without mics. Maybe it's just me but Id like to see the side channel come back, or maybe some sort of longer range replacement to the direct chat channel.

I have been getting this all night, it seems as soon as I fix one problem with this game another one appears.

Strange, I was able to fix that problem but now I'm having serious fps dips, sometimes going below 10fps. This last update cause a lot of issues, I'm sure we will be getting quite a few hotfixes over the next week.

You need to download the beta client launcher script as well. Go here for instructions on how to get the patch working. http://dayz.sykotix.com/arma-ii-beta-client-install/ It worked for me, but I can only launch the game using the DayZbeta.cmd script file, if I try to launch the game using any other shortcut of file it will not work.

This happened to me only in Russian servers. I was completely invisible and zombies would not react to me. My HUD was also missing the debug screen and my sight/hearing monitors did not work at all.

After the installation is finished you need to download the script that will basically run the expansion, beta, patch and game together. I am able to join servers now. Don't mess with your DayZ files, there is no need to reinstall them. Let me know if this works for you :)

[sOLVED] Everytime I try and join a server I get the error message "Bad Version, Server Rejected Connection". I have updated the game through six updater, installed the latest Beta Patch as well as the script. I was able to play on a Russian server but I was invisible, could not use the 3rd person view and if I respawn it would place me in a baron wasteland full of dead bodies. After trying updating to the latest patch my game seems fubar'd beyond repair. You must download the latest patch and run it as administrator when you install it. After the installation is finished you need to download the script that will basically run the expansion, beta, patch and game together. I am able to join servers now.
