We all know your type, when you dont have a valid argument you turn to name calling and immature actions. I can't believe you don't realize everytime you guys post, your making it worse for you and your server. Try handeling it like adults, admit to what you did and dont do it again. Play the game as it was meant to and stop ruining it becasue you can't handel losing your shit fair and square. Not to mention you all keep refuseing to answer to why all of your clan members were in and out of that server durring the time it was locked. Knitting sweaters? I'm sure... lol -
Team mate spotted two people near our camp. I run up to assist. Shots land near me, I run and start our heli up and take off. Fly from one side of the map to the next along the north edge. (not a pilot, just did it due to the emergency) I land, all is well in the world. I get out, save the heli and go into my backpack long enough to eat and drink, and someone is starting up the heli, and trying to fly it away. I quickly jump in to attempt to keep with them, and a second begins shooting at me from the ground. I gun him down, but he doesnt fall. They were with out a doubt the same two I had fled from on the other side of the map. Obvious Teleports were used. I have video if it helps. Occured between 4:00 est - 4:45 est. Sever Us 443

How To Snipe The Airfields ~ 3 Man Team
Freckelz replied to michaeltheney@gmail.com's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I'm sorry hun, but your kinda doing it wrong. As a spotter I know what my job is... and its not to watch my snipers back, its to find targets for him, and assist in prefire. I occasionally range find, but only if we're forced into an awkward location which we dont have memorized ranges for. Which happens very rarely. Above is a quick home made map. We made several of these up of the major citys and airfields. All locations are memorized and used to giving locations and ranges from each position. For example, Brown 1-3 is where we usualy snipe from when we're board and trolling in Electro. If we're suddenly flanked, and someone in the team isnt sure where the flanker is coming from, the one that does can say "Flank from Brown 8" or "Counter Sniper at Pink 1" Succesfully giving all team members a good place to start there scan for players. The basic jist is...your wasting an entire player. He/She isn't being utilized to their full potential at all. Aka, your doing it wrong. You should have ranges from your popular sniping points memorized for quick scope shooting. Your literally wasting precious seconds when a player is standing still on waiting for a range from another person. -
Yeah but i guess my question was... is the explosion in hacking a "protest" against the new update. It just seems like werid timing.

So we all know there are hackers, it mostly an accepted part of Dayz right now. I my self have see some crazy stuff, and the norm, liked hacked weapons or vehicals. But over the past two days it seemed like the hackers have like exploded in on almost every server. I say this because over the course of about 4 hours of gameplay my entire teams legs suddenly broke, and gear was spawned directly onto our characters, we all dropped the gear and or respawned to get rid of it and switched servers. The next server had jets, helis, jeeps, trucks, moterbikes, everything all spawned all over the coast. So we again switch servers... the next is just an exploded mess of fires from heli crashes? Switch again... This time we were left alone for a while, enough time to raid a camp and get pretty gears. then suddenly all our gear is gone and are characters are spazzing out, dancing i think, we aborted to fast to find out becasue it was obvious the second it happened it was hackers. We also went up to stary on yet another server, where a guy teleported behind each of our, and some how used a global chat that didn't exist in game to play music or mock us just before he killed us, 3 people in 2 minutes over a distance of 200-300 meters apart from directly behind us. Last but not least we engaged a squad in stary, stole their car, then bunkered down so one of our team mates could reach us. In that time the team had tried several times to get their car back to no avail. We were then all teleported to the same place for a "death match". sigh... I know that these things happen... but usualy not so much in such a short peiod of time. So... why the sudden explosion. As a bandit these things are greatly impacting my testing of the mod, making it impossible to get an accurate read of whats going to even try and suggest new things. The only thought that comes to mind is the whispers of the patch/update for today. The one that takes out respawning (i think???) and does something with the alt f4 issue (again... just things i've heard). Any of my fello bandits experiencing this?

Not to be an ass but the first thing i looked at was your debug moniotor to see the murders and bandit kills covered up... The only reason i could fathom for not wanting to show that off would be.... :( I wont even say it

*sighs* I am debating on a grenade when they are huddeled next to a fire in the middle of the night... or just a hatchet to the back of the head... Either way I will have my revenge. <_< as long as none of these guys see this post. TE-HE Troll on my Troller friends, Love Freckelz

Your are completly and totaly wrong. That's Beta.. not alpha.. You need to understand the difference... Alpha is a phase where new features are piled one on top of the other for no reason other then to see how it works. They don't worry about bugs unless it SERIOUSLY affects the testings of new features.. Which Rocket has done and exccedingly good job at doing. He is doing exactly what he's suppose to be. Running a somewhat to even well prefoming ALPHA game while testing new features he wants to experience for the next step.. which is beta... BETA is where the tester then plays threw and reports bugs, and they are fixed along the way. Period. That's it. You have no idea how stupid you look when you say these things becasue it just shows how little you know. You have no idea what the process is, you have no idea what a GIFT it is that Rocket has opened Dayz's Alpha to the public. Do the forums a favor... and just keep your mouth shut. ALSO... @ Vision305... Dayz is a mod.. and 90% of the suggestions made arn't compatiable with the Arma II engine... For the love of god people who don't understand things should either ask questions respectfully or just keep there mouths shut.. how hard is it people...

Crossbow my friend... go ahead and give it a try... you'll understand after your first shot why no one uses them unless its their only option. Your in an apocolypse man... you've got swarms of zombies all around you... and your weapon of choice... a bow that takes 20 seconds to reload aim and fire... or a 30 round ak... yeah......lol

Make zombies a real, persistent threat
Freckelz replied to Fryseboks's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
I get what your saying, at this moment with the current patch the zombies are a little duh-huh... But they arn't usualy like this. They were nasty little buggers that would chase your ass to kingdom come... it caused problems... I thick they are still trying to find a balence for the zombies. An experiences player finds them WAY to easy.. a new player finds them to hard... It's a delicate balence. But one of the posters above me is right.. Dayz isn't all about the zombies. Its just a setting to make survival that much harder. Dayz is about your life being threatened at every turn and the frustrations and axiety that causes. At least thats how anyone whos played for more then a week or two will feel about it. When your lugging around a rare gun on your back your a target... and you feel like one. It's STRESSFUL having a character over a week or two old, hell its strssfull having a few day old character. You find yourself being more and more reclussive and jumpy, and always on edge. It's that experience, that immersion that keeps the strady stream of players coming back. You'll understand that when you find your first heli crash, or something oh so good up in the barracks. Trust me :P -
So I was sitting outside of the North West Airfield because I'd saw a glimpse of someone as I got into position for over watch. I waited patiently trying to get eyes on said player and then I got a thought, probably a common one, "Wouldn't it be great if it were snowing... that would make this so much harder". Not only would I have to sit quietly watching over the targeted zone I'd have to battle the elements to do it. Cold setting in on a constant bases over the course of a winter season in game. I'd have to manage keeping myself warm and safe as well as keep a constant vigil on my surroundings for the known threats around me. It would also introduce the need for seasonal sets of clothing for the determined surviver who just never dies. Right now I feel like my world is to easy, it's not challenging enough. My only threat comes of players, not even the zombies are a threat anymore now that I know how to deal with them (which in a "realistic" verison would actually happen). So I feel the need of harsher enviorment is needed, coming in forms like drought were water is limited and you must survive from canned soda rather then the lakes that are all dried up or the wells. Or your forced into canned food in the winter when all the animal life has fled the land for warmer conditions. There are tons and tons of examples I could give of how just our world could make surviving that much harder. Which is what it's all about really. It challenges both bandit and survivor to work harder for what they can get and hold on to it. A prepared bandit would be stocked for his excursion into the airfield for his taste of pvp, but if he wasnt he might find himself in some serious trouble. The survivor who enjoys the survival aspect of the game would benfit from the sheer challenge of copeing with their enviorment and making due with what they have. It also opens the door to another suggestion, which would be some kind permante or semi permante housing. "camp". Right now we have players would stock there things into tents, with no way to secure them when they go off line, just the hope that no one finds them in there norther nitch of the world. Which creates the easy access for anyone willing enough to go from a walk. Shouldn't people have to work harder then stumbling upon a tent? Shouldn't they have to pick a lock or something... anything to make it more challenging to steal another's items. Because if we want to get realistic here...who puts there entire life line in a tent with zero security. If you were to lose your "tent" in a real version... your life is is critical danger, you'd want to protect your life.. So I think that should reflect in this type of game. The same goes for my "bandit side" I don't want to die... give a sigh and say "Well i better go up to those known tent locations to regear". Because honestly... it's so easy to find and raid a camp now that why wouldn't I... when an as50 and other goodies are just a 20 minute walk comapred to looting for days on end just to get back into the game... You don't really think your hurting your game experience till it's too late. In the past 3 days I've raided 2 atvs, 2 moter bikes, 1 GAZ? White car..., 1 ural, 1 off raod truck, and 2 bicycles. All becasue I knew where to look... North... Out of those I got countless high end military grade weapons. I just feel like these is to easy. I wanna work harder for it. That's all. It's not like i can pretend to not know where the camps are. ya know? Feel free to comment and troll my post till your hearts content.

What MineZ is Doing Right, and What DayZ Could Learn From It.
Freckelz replied to Time Glitch's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I don't think you understand the point of the game at all. It's open for a reason, so you can do and be what ever type of player you want. You can't punish any side for doing what they like. If someone whats to be a bandit you can't punish them for it in anyway shape or form. Just becasue you choose to go down another path doesn't mean your path is the right... or for that matter wrong... way... Just like survivors shouldn't be given away by they type of clothes they have neither should bandits, and that goes across the board to any type of "this is how you tell who is who" mentality. As far as your talk about the military weapons, your so wrong. If you used a silence weapon, thats a military gun... And everyone who had EVER killed another player knows you don't try it with a silenced weapon becasue the chances are you will fail miserably. But yet, you can use these military silence weapons to go into a town and clear it with the least amount of zombie aggros as possible, as well as lower the chances a bandit will hear you and come hunting for you. So the military weapons have bonuses for both sides. For Surviors types they allow you more stealth. For the bandits it allows long range and safe murders. You never once see a badit complaining about all the "perks" survivors have to keep hidden from them, so why do the survivors keep throwing fits over any little benifit a bandit has. Not to mention when a bandit uses any of the powerful military guns, the sheer amount of aggro he pulls in (zombies) downplays any type of "Over Powered" effect that high end gun has. As far as "tags" these arnt even turned on for most servers... for the exact reason you just said. But lets say hypothetically they are. Both sides have use of them. The bandit may see your tag, ut you can also see the bandits, there for allowing you to get your ass the hell out of dodge. So really what do you have left to complain about... As a population in whole we HAVE to understand the goal Rocket has for DayZ, it's not for your enjoyment. It's for you to be terrified, frustrated, and pissed off. It's survival by any means you see fit. Deal with it. -
Still some good left in this community...

My team tries to do good on occasion, but as an experiment (one we tried several times in several locations) we threw "military" tags on and went to the coast with our vehicles and extra supplies. (meds, cans of food, drinks, hunting knife, matches... you get the jist) We then proceeded to set up tents and put those extra supplies into them. Once we'd set up defenses (knowing bandits would come as well as newbs) we posted a message that the military had come and were handing out supplies, if you were friendly, low your weapons and you'd be allowed in to loot to your fill and leave when you please. It was meant to be a safe zone for coastal players to get a bit of experience. We even had one of our teams mates explaining how things worked in direct chat off in a corner of the camp. With in 5 minutes we were swarmed with survivors. Much faster then we expected. After another 5 minutes, the bandits came and began firing. Chaos began... People we helped turned on us by taking our second primaries out of our bags and firing on us. Thankfully we'd only taken expendable gear to the coast. lol. We'll try again and again to see what happens each time. It's a fun experiment that never fails to amuse.
