First off, i really like this mod. It's got so much potential and is fun in a lot of diffrent aspects. Devs, if you read this, let me suggest you work on the inventory system, it's very quirky and buggy. Aside from items simply being lost (instead of beeing dropped on the ground) due to lack of space in the inventory when moving them around it's also a pain to drop items from the backpack straight to the ground, you have to go via the normal inventory. This might not have been as annoying in the original ARMA II but given how rare some items are in this mod and how hard you work to get them, a better performing inventory system is something I greatly desire. For example, when i was switching from an AK-74 with 7 mags to an AKS-74 KOBRA the game decides to drop my 7 mags, and erase them without any trace. Stuff like that should not happen, three hours of work, blown away due to a buggy inventory system. :huh: I'd also like to be able to carry two primary weapons, in addition to my gun.

Grey Grapichs Artifacts Tied To An Item! Please look this way devs!

Date/Time: Numerous of occasions. Same time as this was posted. What happened: Massive amounts of grapichal artifacts depending on what direction you look. Let me elaborate. When the game engine renders the wire fence model, it glitches to hell and cuase gray vertexes to shoot out allover the screen. When it's a bit outside of FOV the engine doesn't draw the wire fencing model and the glitching stops. At first i thought that my gfx card was running too hot but after installing two powerfull fans to further cool it, and the problem persisted i could isolate that out of the equation. PLus i haven't had any heat issues previously and my setups been running stable as a rock for over a year. It was when i looked on the ground and dropped a wire fencing kit that i could really put my finger on what it was. I know other poeple have this issue. Please fix it. It's super annoying. Where you were: Has happened in a lot of different locations. Nvidia Geforce GTX 470 (factory overclocked) *Timeline of events before/after error: Noe really, i swear sometimes if it happens during combat as it really hinders your vision. -
Few things i'd like to see ingame: signs with customizable text. text on the side of tents. text on vehicles. This way it would be a lot easier to organize your sjper secret lootz encampment. It gets sort of har to remeber where you put what when there are over 10 tents...

Basicly what you're looking at is the Day Z Reddit Squad [DZRS] Doing a raid to the North western airfield, for this we had fixed up two cars a GAZ Bvolga and a UAZ Jeep. It ended badly with two of us shot dead by a bandit, we then decided to egress to get the cars out of there...

Holy shit. This game just went from "kind of hard" to "Fuck! I'm surrounded!" Hopefully the harder difficulty level will down the amount of solo bandits lurking about just shooting people without any real reason, the incentive to trust people now is much higher now that it's practically impossible to survive on your own, and i think that is great! Still too few cars, i would like to see an increase in the amount of cars spawning. Possible, add two spots in the Toyota Hilux, where ppl can ride on the back of the pickup, one facing forwards and one facing back, being able to use your guns. Annother idea is to add an m240b on the back of the Hilux, making it the coolest anti zombie technical in the world.

Where is brutal military loot?

Yeah you could go to the military bases if you want to find it, but the best place in my opinion is in the large building near the docks in cherno. It has a secret entry accessible from the roof, there is a laddder on the west wall. Also there is some less interesting loot in the entrance on the south side, but it's not uncommon to find silenced m4a1 rifles if you enter through the rooftop door. -

I support this idea! Would also be cool if we could pick up scopes and keep in our backpack and attach to rifles and AR's. -
Considering the shitty wheater, especially on northern european & UK servers,I felt that i had to get a tent. One killed bandit later i got my beloved tent and scouted nice camping site out.r But what are the game mechanics? I can store loot in tents, that much i understood. Will the tent be with me on all servers or just the one i put it up on? I've heard diffrent answers to this. Will tents be persistent after a server crash or restart? Will the tent be visible to other players after i log off? Need these answerd. P.S I'm going to start playing on southern european servers where the whaether isn't shit all of the time D.S

I like bandits. I think I might be a bit of a bandit myself. First day or so i didn't like bandits but then i learned to play. This isn't farmville or hello kitty online. Make spawning more randow for everyone.

1. Stay off the roads, master map and compass. 2. If you can, play with a friend or friends. 3. Make it a habit to always look over your shoulder, even when staking a place out. 4. Never reveal your position in the chat. 5. Keep your best places to get loot to your self and your mates on vent. 6. Make use of full auto when engaging foes at short range. -

This is just not a good idea I think. There's much more reward in getting the best gear and forming a proper kill team with mates over vent and go about it the "right" way than putting five people into an elite position just becuase they didn't kill anyone. To me it just sounds like you are pissed at outlaw bandits who kill people and want an easy way to get back at them. -

I was going to dismiss the illness idea altogheter because i tought it sounded stupid. But. I also have to say i bloody like the idea. The common cold thing is a little lame tbh. Spice it up. Give players the chanche to get infected, or get influenza or bitten by a poisonus animal.. So a player gets sick, sitting by a fire is boring. Make it a mini mission. I.e get sick, find the anti-dote, experimental vaccine against the zombie infection or in the case of influenza find antibiotics. To further complicated, bitten by poisonus animal, only the player is affected. Catch the influenza, player is contageous after displaying symptoms (vomiting, bleaked colours, brighter lights), infected by zombie disease, players corpse is contageous to those wholoot. Bottom line, all three conditions lead to death and affect other players and forces you and/or your group on a mission or quest. Sorry for spelling and grammar, written on my phone. -

Interesting. I had a similar idea about 3 military camps across the map from which small convoys would spawn every once in a while going from one camp to annother. Players could then ambush the convoys. Origin and destination would be randomized.

It's not at all terrible if implemented with consideration! It would help the social aspect a lot.

This would be abused into oblivion. Better to add some sort of functionality where players are allowed to spawn as a group. The dice rolls and all players in that group spawns in the same general area, but not right next to each other.

Why not incoroprate a "safehouse" system? Players gather tanktraps, plywood and barbwire barricades, interact with a building to turn it into a safehouse, after wich two persons are the owners and can add players who are allowed access to it? Thosd who are allowed access can enter those who dont have access sould be able to assualt the safehousd and gain control through destoying key areas, once they've done that they may enter the house and kill the people inside and gain control of the house when everyone inside has been killed? I am writing from my phone right now but when i get home i will revise this post or write a new reply. As for trading that could be done in peace inside the house. The beuty of this is that alot of the game would remain ad-hoc while the developers just providd with a minimal amount of game mechanics. I also feel that a safe area the size of Balota airfield is too big, there is a max of 50 ppl on a server, it would be better with smaller places, player set up and driven. That way clans and factions can set up their houses in citys and villages. This would suit faction/roleplaying servers that i expect to pop up in the future. As for spelling mistakes and grammatical errors, sorry, posting from a phone. -

I admit i know nothing about coding or how the ARMA II engine works but isn't it possible to improve the inventory system for the modders somehow or is the enginecode out of reach for modders to rework?
