I vote NO x 1000 because nighttime seperates the nabs from the people who actually -have a clue- and i'd bet all my beans that these people bitching are the same 'pros' running around in groups with the point man carrying a flare. People are complaining about the rain too? /facepalm. People could use teamwork, have one guy higher up in an observation position (under a tree, better visibility) guiding others.. Honestly i think people should be restricted to their region.. and you should be forced to play at night time so you cant server hop to a different region.... ..But i realise thats not possible and so i deal with it. If anything.. i feel the seperation between character and items on servers isnt really the ideal solution at all and should be further restricted.. Not made more open... But im not a developer thank god. Since you ask my objection to their being a 24/7 'daytime' server setup in the EU/UK because of the many advantages a 24/7 daytime server players would have at night.... and therefore people can jump on that server... loot NVGs during the day... go join a night server at night. People can already do this, but personally i like the thought that they have to join a region far far away, which has the added drawback of.. high ping. But i guess in a few months from now when there are 20 24/7 daytime servers... 3 night time ones filled with players with nothing but Nvg's... It'll feel just like the good old Counterstrike days... where all you get is dust 24/7... or arma with evo/domi... YAY FOR PROGRESS.

but you did know the rules when you decided to 'lay down the cash' in the first place... ..and your now basically trying to manipulate the mod after the fact by asking for the rules to be changed? So basically you think your opinion carries more weight than the rest of the userbase if we're not paying for servers? Say im hosting/paying for 3 servers myself, personally... What rules can i asked to be changed / ignored in the face of my 'freedoms' eh? think about it before you start asking people to go down the route you propose.

lol so you want it to change to cater to you and your small group... basically. You have the alternative option of setting up a camp on another server in a new timezone.. But instead you are here, on the forums to get the game/rules changed. Good plan.

@ Gene + Alendor I dont propose to know what -everyone- does.. I was just saying what i think the reason that the population of a region goes down significantly on weekdays is yes.. Because a lot of people from that timezone are probably preparing for their next day at work. OBVIOUSLY.. some people play on servers which are not of their own timezone.. including myself. (You can go about trying to 'prove me wrong' but i dont really care for what your trying to sell because your not unbiased as you obviously want it to be changed to cater for you. ) If you 'just want the freedom to play on a sunny server' - you have that already... just play on a server not from your own region... if its night where you are.. Probably will be daytime other side of the world. I'm not super opposed to you joining a server running daytime hours. What i'm against is people asking the entire system as its currently established (aka, all servers are region specific when its comes to their time) be changed to suit them... Yes, that's a bit unreasonable...

People are so retarded they overlook the most obvious facts. The servers are empty at 3am on a weekday... Wow. Rly? Wait im having an idea here.... MAYBE ITS CAUSE PEOPLE FROM THAT TIMEZONE ARE ASLEEP? Because... they have to be up for work the next morning. It would also explain why, on the weekends... You can go into a uk server at 4am and they're still pretty populated / full. Thank god for the people who get it though.. Nighttime is safer and thats why people play it.. Because unless you are a complete badshit crazy nub whos afraid of the dark your not going to be running down the railroad with a flare in hand.... Well, maybe youll do it once or twice.. Until you get murdered.. then hopefully it will sink it.. Darkness is your friend.

Comparing upping brightness to a wallhack. No. Its nothing like that and for you to even compare it to that.. Its starting to go down the stupid route of: What about using a joystick? Is that cheating if not everyone has a joystick.. Or, if someone has a bigger monitor.. Or 3 monitors, or head tracking. Its not like you dont have an alternative option... Lets be honest, i think people like the 'idea' of nighttime... But dont actually want it to be like night. Gamme / Brightness goes up.. Video settings: - Postprocessing: off - HDR: High / V.High ..If thats done and u still can't see -anything- on a clear night with moonlight.. Consider getting a new monitor, graphics card.. or eyes. And indeed, some of us -really- do enjoy it the way it is.. Hard to believe? maybe. Sticking to shadow cover and approaching people unseen using the concealment is dare i say it, a large point of the entire game ?

+1 for desync / bad internets. Its not helped by servers going up that allow stuff like people joining with sounds and custom faces.. combined with some that i guess just cant handle the caps they're running. Its already a big game and this mod puts further strain on it.. On the upside it can only get better i hope.. ..When it -does- work as it should.. People get reliably killed, one-shotted, by large calibre weapons on this mod... which is nice when it happens -- i'll also add, speaking from personal experience that when i play on better ping'd servers that reg isnt actually that bad..

ill take it as a compliment You could... ..Bit of a stretch though, I guess it was more of a question: Where do you draw the line between roleplaying 'an evil man' and actually start manipulating/conning people? Personally it seems like a lot of wasted hours to me, for the 'leet e-respect' you get off the dayz boards... ...But then most of my friends are pretty normal people, so if i told them i invested hours/days manipulating people on voicecoms with the intention of fucking them over... ..Yeh, they'd think it a bit creepy/odd/anti social/weird -- You choose. ..I really like the idea of 'tense encounters' ingame... Permadeath, robbery, etc. All gravy. But ..You joined their TS and played with them for days/weeks with the intention of manipulating their trust to get 'l33t gear'. ? I guess.. 'well done? ' ..for commitment and everything but personally i think thats just a bit wierd and kind of too-far... Hopefully i dont have to explain what the difference is between: - 'Yay lets team up' (ingame chat/voip) then u run around with someone for 20 minutes then shoot them in the back' - Joining someones clan/squad/whatever for weeks and their TS, getting to know people with the sole intention of fucking them over... I mean, you could argue that you joined TS to better allay their fears and put them at ease... ...Again though, that level of thought going into how your going to fuck people over in a game on the internet is just... Meh - too far imo. People do it in eve n stuff which is great but i think people forget that whilst they might be 'roleplaying a conman' they are infact still.. Conning real people and doing them out of their time..
