Agreed. Drift Idea sounds "meh" because 48 hours is quite a bit of time logged in. That would take roughly 2 weeks or longer for a casual player and that's saying they played every day of the week. I'd say atleast a 2-4 hours of ingame time, considering the average life is 31 minutes, and I doubt that is because of the death match players. I've been in vents with people that just started or have been playing for weeks, and they still can't seem to survive out of a small town like Kamenka. Energy and Fitness are good idea's, but It would make it feel like you always got to stop and just chill for awhile because your guys tired. Realistic yes, but I think it should be reliant on how much gear your carrying. I think the survival time perks would be better suited if your guy hungers slower, his thirst doesn't come back as fast. After awhile your character should become faster at bandaging himself/herself, using painkillers and morphine, or overall switching guns and reloading. Countless zombie encounters and bandit shoot outs would make your character less likely to shake when aiming or while zooming through a scope or binoculars. Hell even being able to see a little bit better at night because your eyes are adjusting. I could think of ideas all night to make the game feel like the longer your alive you adjust to it. But in the long run it would kind of make it like a MMO considering we would be somewhat leveling up as we play. Slowly getting better.

Every single time I've been spawned in the forest I've been able to run out. If you have a compass, Run East. 6 outta 10 times so far I've made it to a town in less than 15 minutes of running. IF you don't have a compass. Wet your finger, put it in the air, use your watch, find the north star, pray, repent, and run in whatever direction you like and hope you make it somewhere.

I would love to see more types of clothing, such as body armor, different guille suits, and more camo. It would make your character look even more unique or experienced when your wearing some hard to come by body armor. The protection should be pretty low considering realism, but it should help vs small arms or zombie attacks. I'm sick of the ball cap / jacket model. The items should be slotted just like the Binocs, NvGs. Helmet/Chest/Legs In my opinion. The only real reason behind that is because they should just be mostly flavor items to make your character look different than every single other person in the game. Rare to find, just like camo, and should be only completely useless in terms of protection except small arms and to prevent bleeding from zombies. Sounds good as long as I don't spawn in the ocean :D.

A week Playing as a Non-combatant Medic.
Poundoff replied to [email protected]'s topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I actually did this before the new patch. When side chat was still up on all the servers. I lasted roughly 18 hours of gameplay time. Killed: 56 Zombies Murders: 2 <---They tried to stealing my Medical supplies. Bandit Kills: 3 People Helped: 4 People brought back from the dead (800 blood or less): 2 Times People attempted to kill me: Over 9000. It was fun but, I don't think the amount of stress I went through just to save each person was worth it lol. -
Anyone else disagree with the current morphine spawns?
Poundoff replied to dyno0919's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
This is why your having problems in the first place I think. No Patience. Your asking for a suggestion on fixing the issue, but your not willing to splint your leg and hobble or crouch around until you get morphine or your leg repairs on its own. You sound like you want a easy way out to be honest. Timers on offline gameplay? Really? If your character isn't in game you shouldn't be recieving any healing, but that brings up another thing I hate which is the food and water while being logged out, but that's hardly difficult to deal with. I don't have massive issues with breaking legs. I do however have issues about how often it can happen and how shitty the method of fixing it is. -

There needs to be a way to repair a broken leg without morphine. You should be able to splint it with wood and bandages. Or maybe just bandages only several at a time. You shouldn't be running like normal but damn sure won't be completely useless to the point you wasted your time playing due to a unfortunate battle with a zombie in the wall. I really think the game should have some sort of timer just like your food and water indicators. On slowly repairing your leg, might not be in 20 minutes, maybe not in 4 hours, but shit atleast you won't be crawling until you decide to hit respawn or someone comes up and kills you. Morphine should be the amazing 1 hit wonder cure for broken bones, that's only found in hospitals and rare spawns, but the fact remains there needs to be 1 or 2 more hospitals or medical supply areas. 3 Hospitals all on the coast. Two being massive gang bang shooter sites, and the other is almost the same. They are just too far spread out and too heavily guarded. Now I understand guarding and staking claim on all the epic medical supplies people do, but seriously right now if your out in BFE trying to be a lone survivor, and you happen to walk into a bush the wrong way. Your Literally Fucked. GG, Scrub, Better Luck Next Time. Bush Killed "Player". Right now, the biggest dick move a player can do is get a Makarov and shoot every single person in the fucking knee. There's almost nothing they can do even if they kill you, doesnt matter if you just spawned 5 seconds ago, found a gun and shot them after they spent hours collecting gear. Hit them in the leg and you practically erase their whole progress with 1 bullet. -
So much work for nothing.. Calling in for backup( you guys )

Best thing to do. Is think of a story line or background rather for each character you start. Then follow or act as the character you create. Do things you wouldn't normally do, or even think of doing. Yeah whatever nerd Roleplay insult coming soon, but hey I've done it a few times, and I always find myself ending up in adrenaline pumping situations. Especially that friendly Medic character back when everyone Makarov warrior'd. I lasted 2 hours and helped 4 people, and I think used 65 bandages on myself, but fuck it. It was fun and I'd never do that normally. -
Is it really that hard to find loot?

Not true. I've jumped over razer wire many times. Unless its glitched above or into the the ground. Without bleeding. Never been hurt by razer wire. -

The zombies need to be more dangerous.
Poundoff replied to switch296's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
What this guy said. The zombie detection right now is a joke. In 1.7 it was okay and mildly realistic compared to what I'd expect a Zombies awareness to be, other than the running through walls and sometimes seeing you in a building. I don't care how hard the zombies are to kill, I don't care how hard they hit, I also could careless if they could run in buildings. I DO CARE about how Realistic their vision and hearing are. You can make them Zombie Gods for all I care. As long as they can't see me through a wall, run through it, and eat me after I crouch walk into it undetected for a soda. -
Good. Let the butthurt flow through you. I'm not even mad. Why would I be? Nor am I crying or butthurt. I just think your self-esteem is low, and that's why you post comments like the one above. It's actually really entertaining, and quite a thrill to see what childish comment you think of next.

I've been looking through these forums for awhile. Been playing the game for a month now. I've seen so many things on these forums from crying/complaining, asking for nerfs to night time, bandit threads, can't find "this" threads, combined with people trying to actually fix the game, improve it and make it the best it can be, all the way to people just looking for advice and help. I seen some posts I'd have loved to comment on, but never really took the time to make a account and actually post with it. BUT TODAY....................I did it, I was compelled to make a account......why you ask? Not to help someone out, not to ask for help for myself, not to cry or whine on the forums about something being broken in a game that's in "Alpha". I made this account to say "Fuck You" Literally. To johnnydotexe. Just because. TL;DR: Fuck.
