  1. Santana (DayZ)

    Zombies are too OP now.

Thought there was a lot of solid points made about these zeds: 1. Zombies aren't fun to fight. They zig zag with the glitchiest pathing, and you're almost forced to let them close in on you (and risk getting hit), so you can get a decent shot off in their attack "animation". Add to this their wonky hitboxes (lunging indoors from yards away and hitting you, despite taking plenty of killshots) and they are a huge annoyance. 2. Point 1. was not a big deal up until now because zombies were avoidable and dealing with them was your "punishment" for making a mistake or being careless. Zeds do not aggro on mistakes now, they just aggro. Through buildings, behind walls, across the map... it is inevitable that you will be fighting them; might as well sprint through town and glitch them out through/on structures, while doing a mad grab of any loot you can find. 3. Building on the previous two points, these "new" zombies have removed any semblance of fun from the game (especially for those that don't have a decent or any weapon). Avoiding zombies is *tedious* (permanent prone everywhere) and fighting them is boring/hopeless. Being able to effectively sneak in DayZ is crucial, both for an enjoyable PvP and PvE experience. That's my feedback. Suggestions for a fix would be: revert zombies to their less psychic versions and hopefully, in the future, make them feel rewarding to fight.
  2. Yea, this is really unplayable. It's too tedious and annoying to sneak with this much caution, and even then you still have a good chance of getting caught. I hope the zombies are fixed ASAP because even trying to find bare necessities with a new character is frustrating and boring. We had a perfect medium, and now it's lost.
  3. Sometimes I prefer to play day or night, but not always when my timezone is day or night. I know you can see what country hosts the server and get an idea if it might be day or night on that server, but is there a way to check the server time before connecting?
