One thing that might make pvp more fun is if there were bounty boards like in Ultima Online. There would have to be someway to prove that you ended whomever's reign of terror, in UO that was done by bringing the head of the wanted individual. You could just make an extra loot item on player's corpses, whether it is heads, dog tags, or whatever. A handful of bounty boards spread out around the major towns would make for pretty good camping spots though. Another thing that would be cool is if there were a notepad in game, so you could stick your bounty request to some random tree along the road. Also it would be cool the be able to leave a note thanking the owner of the random tent you just looted. I guess the notes and bounty boards would have to be server specific things, but if you make the proof of kill a loot item you could hunt bounties across servers.

That happened to me too, if you click on the icon to bring the game back up.

I guess that begs another question, should the dead player be notified of who killed him? One thing you could do is prompt the player on respawn if they want to post a bounty, and add the reward, where they were killed, etc. They would only see the name of their killer after submitting the bounty.

I like commander better, but they both wreck my network for a short time after updating the server list.

The wanted poster thing is an interesting idea. One thing about bounties is that it can possibly increase player interaction.

I think it would super awesome if the melee weapons were secondary weapons. it be nice to be able to switch from a loud pvp rifle to a silent pve hatchet without having to worry about backpack slot and so forth.

my stupidest death was also in a deerstand. I found a pdw in a deerstand and I didn't want to keep it but I did want to try it out. so I shot it at some of the zombies near the deer stand and missed. they all run up under the stand and I can't get a clear shoot, so I thought I'd fake them out and jump out of the deer stand and then shoot. I jumped and broke my legs and was eaten by the bath salt enthusiasts.

Anything is better than the "free to play/pay to win" model.

i had the same issue the op described, except i ran up and hatched the stuck zombies and stuff started spawning.

yes melee weapons only at start though, so at least you have a chance to defend from zombies

if you hide the body, do you still hear flies?

i like the revolver because it forces me to slow down and shoot straight.

for lionel mandrake, we can make an exception.

what about zombie bunnies impervious to all attacks except for the holy hand grenade.

One thing I find interesting with how this game is evolving is how in some ways it is similar to ultima online. except everyone is red and there are no guards in town. I know that sounds contradictory, but when I play and what I see on the forums reminds me of when I used to play UO. p.s. where do i go to get my chaos body armor?
