    Don't use the crossroads, they typically place the wrong model down, It's easier to end the road, add your crossroad manually, then start a new road from them.

    The issue is your mapframe settings, if you're looking for an 8k map, you could do 8192x8192 which is 2048 with a cell size of 4, 2048x4 = 8192
