    Server Cpu Load

The # of zombies is generally speaking related to how spread people are (they don't spawn if there is none in the area).

    Server Cpu Load

    It will. These are 4x 65s. Server 1 uses 1-4, 2 uses 5-8, 3 uses 9-12, 4 uses 13-16.

    Server Cpu Load

At first: Yes, it's CPU intense. At second: Yes, only uses 2 cores at max, no-matter the settings. The main limit is 1 thread that will take down 1 core entirely. Even if it used 8 cores, the 1 thread that matters is simply a loop that seems to take down any CPU with enough users.
  4. There should be a few popping up in Washington DC very soon. Probably 2 50 slots and 1 bigger server.

    A Server Plan

Not to sound like an ass, but it has been tried with setups more powerful than that, with negative results. The first limit you will hit is the CPU and due to most of the load being some random main thread that seems to handle about 70% of the workload, you only need 2 cores per server, but they should be really fast PER CORE to handle that big thread. The more recent CPUs like an E3-1270/1290 should be great for an attempt like this due to their core frequency of 3.4-3.6GHz, but if a pair of X5660s isn't enough, 2 dual cores at 2.4 won't do it either.
  6. As it's only effecting me when I'm respawning (which normally only happens upon joining), I'd rather wait a bit, afk, while spawning over having to spam click the join button, which takes just as long and a lot more effort. Can just alt-tab or walk away while respawning anyway.
  7. Are you sure that it will manage 6 servers? A single server uses about ~120% of a core when full, meaning you'd be more than 1 core short when hosting 6 (6 * 1.2 = 7.2). I'd stick to 5, which runs you exactly at 100%. Not counting HT here as while it allows better distributing of threads, it does not make up for the missing power when running 6 servers. Also keep in mind that you'd be looking at what, ~30TB of bandwidth a month? Not many companies in the 150 euro-area will let you actually use that much. You'd also be looking at an output of 70 to 90 mbps during the day/evening/early night (less during the night due to timezones). Many of the German websites that come with unmetered cap you at 10mbit after either 10TB of bandwidth or an output of >30-40mbit. Before having other people pay I'd make sure to look into all that and besides, for 150 euro's a month you could also just get 2-3 of these (linking some random German hosts that I know of out of my head): Hetnzer, Velia & Xirra. Which would allow you to run 6 to 10 servers with ease, in comparison to 5, for the same money. PS: Another viable option would be Hetzner outlet/market @ https://robot.your-server.de/order/market/page/4 You could get 2 i7 975s with 12GB of RAM for 56 euro a month each (and a 56 euro setup each). Certainly more efficient than 1 Hexa Core as you can run more for less.
